It appeared yesterday that they are going for the conduit/ductwork themeing on the Shrek and Monsters Cafe sides only. None on the other two sides.
Could we be seeing a building themed to New York on the New York sides and "generic industrial building" on the other two

Don't know about the NYC side but the alley where Donkey's M&G was there are top to bottom metal strips. I believe that is where the "wrap" may go.

They were also putting metal straps on the lagoon facing side yesterday as well.

Were the straps wide like on Mel's side or narrow like the ones towards Monsters?

The wide ones are metal studs used in framing. I'm not yet sure of their use in this application.

The narrow ones are UniStrut used to mount conduit and such.

Studied the photos a little more and concluded the metal framing studs on the side facing Mel's are for attaching more faux columns.

Quick question: to me it seems that the way the building was constructed was different than any other SS I've seen built - was it?
I've been inside the older Uni SS's and there are no metal beams that run horizontally across the main steel frame of the SS, like in the TF building. Is this how all the new SS's are being built? Are the pre-fabbed panels just a cost effective alternative?

I'm pretty that this bad boy was built in this fashion simply because it has to support the massive second floors load.

Will get old quickly (10 years), but I really love this look right now. Very austere and foreboding. Teebin loves foreshadowing/foreboding.

Great Pic! I can't believe all it took was a giant, painted 'E7' for the building to transform from blah to COOL.

Besides a guitar chord and i believe a piano chord...I don't get the E7 reference on the building

Ohhhhh I see what Universal did there...lol E7 was the "code name" That Dark of the Moon was filmed under. Similar to how when Lucas filmed Star Wars:A New Hope it was called"Blue Harvest"

The font they used for that E7 reminds me of something you would see on and aircraft carrier
