We can probably estimate where the gift shop will go based upon the ride layout in the members club "what we know about Transformers the Ride" page.

 The amount of hatred I have for the way that building stands out from across the lagoon is ridiculous.
Granted, the theming has exceeded my expectations. It is just horribly, horribly out of place IMO. Most DEFINITELY looking forward to see how they incorporate something as colorful and detailed as an autobot into a big grey box.

I totally respect that, & anyone else who has problems with it. I just hope the finished product will eventually win over most who have hated it, especially with the addition of Prime. But if not, oh well, my feelings wont be hurt, after all, Im not building it, &, someone else liking it/hating it wont affect my enjoyment of it, as I know my enthusiaism for it wont change people's minds either, but I guess that's what makes us human, having differences of opinion.

In fact, some good ideas for future projects sometimes come from what some people dont like about a project, & could inspire creativity for what should've been/could've been.

This waterfront area could have been turned into a cocktail cafe a long time ago. It is such a passed by area. Imagine one section of the covered area as the serving area and then umbrella tables on both the upper and lower levels.

BTW, I had never seen that themed projector before.

 Many thanks for all your updates today, SGT623! :rep:

PS: First time I notice that particular theming on the projector housing as well. Is it new theming?

PPS: The Mardi Gras F&B stand by the Donkey M&G is gone! Looks like a good sign that the opening will not be pushed back again!

Looking back at the ride layout, I'm pretty sure the exit on the far left end near the lagoon will be the gift shop entrance/exit, th ride unloads right next to that area. And if Kang and Kodos haven taught us "foolish earthlings," is that "all rides must end near the gift shop!"

Anyone curious as to why the side facing New York hasn't even been touched yet?

Some people are crazy if they think this thing is soft opening in a couple weeks. Why would you even think that?? The exterior IS coming along nicely, but the NY side hasn't been touched yet, AND the entrance isn't coming along yet either....I'll go with my prediction of a late April soft opening at the EARLIEST.

I' agree with that ^ I can see the gift shop POSSIBLY opening in a couple of weeks but the ride itself...not just yet.

My current thought is late April softs, late May opening. I'd love to be proven wrong, but I don't think it'll be up in just a few weeks.

Nobody said it will soft open in a couple of weeks. I have merely predicted that the exterior work will be done within the next 2 weeks, with softs beginning in mid to late March, which is over a month from now, NOT a couple of weeks. & there are people that say that is still too early, & I have also said I am probably WAAYYY off, & if it turns out Im wrong, no big deal.

& also don't forget that they are also working on this around the clock, so you couldnt even really estimate how long it will take compared to the USH & USS builds, so I dont think it is TOO out of line to estimtate this thing opening within the next month or 2. At the LATEST I see this soft opening at the beginning of April. I have also read that USH went through 4 weeks of technical rehearsal before opening, so thats something that will probably remain the same for us. So if it soft opens in as late as the beginning of April, I predict it will OFFICIALLY open in May, so they may just be able to announce that it will be opening Spring
2013. Of course this is all speculation unitil we do hear an official anouncement from Uni.

Well we've already heard pretty reliably that it'll open Memorial Day Weekend. So I think late April is probably a safer bet for softs since there's no reason to do them more than a month. It makes sense to speed through the exterior, but I don't see them working at such a blazing pace through testing, cycling and what not. As long as they stay on schedule it makes sense to take their time and do it thoroughly.

Right on, I know there's a big difference between the actual construction of the building vs. all the technical stuff with the ride itself. But like the construction, if they have hired people to work around the clock for the ride testing, than that could be done in twice the time, yet without actually rushing it. & I also say that because I heard a rumor that they are in fact ride cycling 24/7.

I do know 1 thing for sure though, the construction updates are going to get more & more exciting each week from here on out!!!
