Right on, I know there's a big difference between the actual construction of the building vs. all the technical stuff with the ride itself. But like the construction, if they have hired people to work around the clock for the ride testing, than that could be done in twice the time, yet without actually rushing it. & I also say that because I heard a rumor that they are in fact ride cycling 24/7.

I do know 1 thing for sure though, the construction updates are going to get more & more exciting each week from here on out!!!

They are cycling the ride 24/7 now. They have to work out the many kinks to just get it to match up with the screens so the 3D will work. This was a little piece of info was given to me by a little birdie

Some people are crazy if they think this thing is soft opening in a couple weeks. Why would you even think that?? The exterior IS coming along nicely, but the NY side hasn't been touched yet, AND the entrance isn't coming along yet either....I'll go with my prediction of a late April soft opening at the EARLIEST.

Mainly because Hatetofly said it was a possibility....http://www.orlandounited.com/forums/showthread.php?5714-Transformers-The-Ride-Summer-2013&p=283776#post283776

In disguise

You know what would be a good publicity stunt? Having an Optimus Prime truck drive down I4 quickly and into the studios the day they put Prime above the doorway of the attraction so as to protect us humans from the inevitable onslaught of Decepticons in the near future? What do you guys think? Just thinking out loud here.

I'm also wondering how it is that between all of us theme park nerds how no one has seen or gotten any pics of them bringing in the ride vehicles, or at the least any noticeable themeing pieces aside from just some red beams. I guess this all took place after the park closed.

& hopefully they will install Optimus during park open, that would definietely be the money shot!!!

They did something similar with Kong when they were transporting just the exposed head on the back of a truck, too bad I missed that one!

They also did that in one of the Disney parks when they were building Pirates of the Carribbean. They drove the AA pirates on a flat bed down the highway.

Or at least all the exterior except the main entrance being finished. That way they could wall off the front and open the gift shop in just over two weeks

So which wall is it exactly? The one by the Donkey meet & greet under that air effects tank box thing, or the one facing the DM/HRRR side?

Okay, I honestly don't understand. What does "walls are down" mean? I thought the building was finished?

It means that after 8 months, you can now come pretty close to touching the building.

The walls that were in front of Donkey's new M&G that blocked off that entire street, all the way to the Mel's restrooms were all gone this afternoon. There were simple barricades up around it with some TMs watching the area. You could see all the way to the assumed gift shop entrance (looking from the DM/Shrek exit side). That side of the building must be almost complete. The street was obviously torn up during construction and currently needs to be repaved.

Anyone know if the Optimus Prime figure is going to be an immobile statue like the one in Singapore, or is there going to be some kind of articulation (like it's head turning, etc)?

While I agree that I doubt it too, if walmart can rotate a security camera in a parking lot in florida, they they can turn a robot head in said weather. Think of the hippogryph that appears to work rain or shine.
