In fact, I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure they use Froggy's Fog for their houses which is known to be a little less allergenic but have a very distinct smell.

They do use Froggy's Fog! They order huge 55 gallon drums for HHN and hook them up to each fog machine used at the event (haunted house fog machines usually get the 10 gallon buckets). They also have a variety of smells you can order, although they aren't used at the event. I'm not sure if it was this website or maybe IOACentral, but there was a thread about the smell of the fog at HHN. Everyone loves that stuff.

Anyway, LN2 seems like the cheapest and cleanest way to produce fog. Regular fog fluid leaves an oily residue on anything it touches if its constantly lingering in the air. Wouldn't want that all over our precious NEST building!

Call me crazy, but I love coming home after a long night at HHN drenched in that scent.

I remember that thread, it was on IOAcentral I believe. Don't know if you rember me but my username was Doombot.

To me, the fog machines smell like the inside of a warm black trash bag.
But then again a freshly paved road smells like a cake out of the oven.

I assumed for Transformers it would be updated right on the sign, most of the rides do it that way (only a few update right from the booth). My point was there is no system for the sign to be offline from. The wait time at the attraction entrance is tied into absolutely nothing.

Do you happen to know which rides update from the booth, out of curiosity?

Only one I can think of off the top of my head is Doom, but I feel like someone else does.

I nearly had an attack the last time I went to HHN, had to sit out one house to catch my breath. I'm never bothered on rides but it's different when it's everywhere during HHN.

I asked today about the "OL" and they laughed and said "Outta Luck". But they confirmed "Off Line"

And the damaged panel is still damaged:

They should make this look like battle damage and a piece of "tech" like it is stuck there.

Sorry if this has been asked but why is there number 64 on the wait time sign above the Transformer's head?

I don't think it has any particular significance. There are a bunch of numbers all throughout the building just for theming purposes. It might have some hidden meaning, and it might just be a random number, but I don't think it's be something important or relevant to the ride experience. Any importance would be for fun of the hidden meaning. That's what me thinks...

1964 is when GI Joe was created. And 1984 was the year Hasbro acquired Transformers.

thats interesting ...I would never have known that but why do they want the year they created GI Joe on their Transformers ride sign? Is that why its there or just coincidence?

I've always taken the 64 to mean Area 64.

My question is... when the hell is that Optimus going up? I've been skeptical about that thing the last two weeks as there seems to be no sign of prepwork for the mechanics of an AA whatsoever. Is it 100% confirmed that it's an AA and not just a sculpture/statue/static artwork?

Was about to ask the same thing. Last I heard is that they're waiting till the last moment to put up Optimus, kinda like the cherry on top for the ride before the grand opening.
