I've never been on either, obviously. This seems to confirm my theory that load/unload will not be quick and thus capacity will not be great. Hope I'm wrong. On a different forum, I said that Velocicoaster was a little difficult and the old Flight of Fear coasters were also somewhat difficult. I first thought that maybe the Flight of Passage seats would be a good comparison but apparently not as those aren't difficult to get in/out of.

I don’t remember having an issue with Tigris, but I’m not that big.

So my brother rode three times today. Said it was really fun, but also really awkward ride vehicle to get into. He's a small person so for him to say it's awkward is alarming as he's a part of the population that would have no problem getting on literally any ride. Obviously he still fit, but if he's saying it's awkward as a note, that's not going to bode well for people who actually do have an issue or people who can easily fit in, but are a bit older and thus getting into that awkward riding position isn't the easiest.

I have no doubt the ride is fun. Many Disney fans have been on this ride already and we know what people think about it, but my brother also didn't have to wake up early to try to get a VQ at 7am or a LL (he got a CM preview and got to go on however many times he wanted) so he didn't have anything negative to say about the ride currently, either. I'm sure once that starts up there will be more complaints as while i'm sure the ride is fun and a great addition to MK, the insane demand for VQ (it's been 9 years since a new ride at MK) + LL selling out is going to annoy the hell out of people.

I'm just here for the "I got up at 4am to get a VQ spot and wasted a whole day at MK to find out I couldn't ride" meltdowns.

I saw small Asian people struggling to get on this ride in Shanghai. They just couldn't get there positioning of their legs and ankles right. It is awkward.

Nice to hear about the 6'5 guy who fit but it's definitely to come down to "body dimensions" and people of all different sizes are going to struggle.

Nobody complains about riding pony express at knotts which basically is the same system. Sure it is different ride restraint system but not that unusual. Because of this it may not be everyone's cup of tea but that is what you get when you create a moto style ride system. Disney is in an impossible situation where they are known for their rides to accommodate almost everyone but this system is different than any ride they have. Maybe flight of passage comes close but that does not need a solid restraint system like a rollercoaster does. So yeah we are going to hear that Disney is universal an unaccommodating but at the end of the day they can only do so much on this type of ride. Adding sit down seats kinda defeats the purpose of the ride.

This is why they are doing more than a month of cast previews with THEIR guests-- they need to have a better idea of what the GP will be like and the challenges.

Between the restraints/rider position not being accommodating to the typical American body shape, the mandatory lockers, etc, there a lot of unknowns here for the staff and for Disney.

I'm predicting that they quickly (as they can) replace several more rows on each train with the more accommodating seats if the stories I'm hearing of longer waits for those seats in previews continue.

Watching some videos of the entrance and exit areas of the ride, it's impressive to see the amount of new, guest-accessible walking space that this addition has opened up in Magic Kingdom. It's a pretty massive space, and even if (for a while) it mostly becomes extended queue (in the entrance areas), having more space for guests to occupy at MK can only end up being a good thing.

Also, the background music loop appears to be excellent. Not just straight tracks from the TRON: LEGACY Daft Punk album, but newly-orchestrated versions, as well. Seems there's quite a large gift shop at the exit, too, which has not yet been revealed (as far as I've seen, anyway).

I found this interesting as this review not only talks about the ride which most people have a general understanding of within theme park circles, but the condition of TRON at MK. And tbh, for a new ride, there's some things here that are looking not so new and not as finished as you'd expect. Now there is still two months until opening day so maybe they'll work on some of these things, but either way, thought it was worth noting.

Five years is certainly a bit of an exaggeration, however if you wanted to say some of it is over three years old you wouldn't be wrong at all. November 2019 is when the final piece of track was put into place for the ride. This is what the ride looked like during the COVID stoppage. It's been sitting around for awhile collecting... rust.

I was responding to @shiekra38 post that it feels five years old in 'certain' parts, I certainly never meant all of the track, but 'parts' of the attraction are close to that 5 year number.

Nope. The track was the first thing to go up. Building went up midway through track install. COVID stopped work before they could fully close the building. Canopy then went up and the walkway to the entrance. Lastly, the main plaza and the train tunnel were finished more recently.

Five years ago this is what the site looked like. This was June 4, 2018. Either way, it's been forever.

This looks fun. Might actually take my first trip to Disney in a couple years. Do not care about star wars but I want to catch haunted mansion and Tower of Terror before it is too late, and this neat little coaster is a nice cherry on top.

Now this is true, but ultimately the canopy and light cycles still look very sleek, along with one of the greatest film soundtracks of all time playing in the area.

This might be a hot take for some, but I personally think the TRON: Legacy soundtrack is Daft Punk’s best album.

The ride looks fun but its so short, really wish they added like one new slow room in the middle of the ride to make it longer

To me this is an example of a cool coaster but I would not push for this if the length would be less then 2 and a half mins for the amount of space if takes up. Just my two cents

Stood by the Barnstormer queue a few days ago and the music loop in the area is amazing.
