MK and DHS ones aren't a problem. But Jammin' Jungle and Tapestry of Nations/Dreams are/were awful to deal with if you just wanted to get by it.

I don't have a lot of experience with the DHS parade, but every nighttime parade at MK is a nightmare to get around. Especially the closer you get to the front of the park.

Yea, but at least there, while annoying, they have paths set up where it's possible to escape. That isn't the case with a lot of the Jammin' Jungle route.

Universal doesn't have enough room for a parade where people watching and passer-by's can fit without causing a major traffic issue.

If they replace 360, they need to bring back the Stunt Show. Save the WoC-type show for Islands, it's a better fit there.

I agree. Trying to get around the holiday parade and mardi gras parade are less than fun.

True, very true. Production is the high point of the Studios and story of Islands, so that does make more sense. I'd like to see cameras worked into the show as well to show off how crane shots (and other shots of course) are accomplished, perhaps using a large screen that comes up only after hours with no visual interruptions like the globes caused.

I haven't been in the parks during the day time since mid September. I say that because since its so dark during HHN its hard to notice any work going on within the parks. Tonight though I did notice they are modifying the bases of the 360 barges. Sorry no pics there dark, but they are parked next to Richter Burger which is also getting some work behind the building.

I think we will see Universal bring the Twilight saga to life by Freezing the Lagoon and doing Twilight on Ice.

Nah. They will build a forest scene in which you run through half naked while whispering.

Are they doing 360 the week after Christmas before New Years? They could be modifying or refurbishing them for that.

The barges seemed to be getting larger, I wish I had photos. I will try tonight at HHN.

Thanks for that! Definitely looks like there is something new in the works. The barges no longer have the circular indentations for the globes. Now it looks more like a football shape. It'll be interesting to see what this turns out to be.

Yeah I can't find any info on Universal 360 on Universal's web site so all signs are pointing to a new show. I did notice all the projectors are still in place from the old show.

Orlando Theme Park News has a new update showing that the barges are still just floating by the edge of the lagoon.

The central lagoon is now barge-less, but not for long...

Indeed, the former barges of Universal's not-so-brilliant nighttime show, Universal 360, are now being re-purposed into much larger barges. What will be their function? That's still unknown, for now:

A small area near Richter's Burgers is walled-off:

From Screamscape

New Entertainment - Rumor - (11/18/11) While it’s too early to say much, there is a new rumor going around claiming that the new lagoon show may include some good old fashioned stunts in it once again, as a throwback to the old Dynamite Nights Stunt Spectacular show that ran at the park for the first decade or so.
Also it is worth pointing out that while the floating barges are indeed the old ones from the Universal 360 show, they have been modified and extended since then, which includes the addition of that new large rectangular hole in the center for “something”.

Sounds interesting. Most parks' nighttime shows I know of just use a system of water, videos, lighting, fireworks, etc. which could be turned on with a switch. Are there any major lagoon type spectaculars that still involve live stuntmen. (Excluding nighttime parades and shows where actors aren't in any danger whatsoever)

I really hope it's a stunt show, but I'm not holding my breath.

What would the theme of the stunt show be? Oh, I've got it! Fear Factor Live!: Water Edition.

On a separate note, I think this show should be a water show that is the anti-Fantasmic: HHN-themed Freddy vs. Jason. I kid, but that would've been a cool show for the Carnival of Carnage.

A mini-Universal version of Tokyo's Fantasmic would be neat. ET, Kong, Jaws, JP, etc. Could be a cool thing. I dunno if they have the room to do something like that.

Honestly, I think they should just put a huge production on in the river between City Walk and the Parks. Sure, it'd be free, but imagine how many people it would bring to the resort every night.
