I think the park will have dark rides. Probably omnimovers. The concept seems to show one in the Shrek land and possibly one in JW:CC.

So like.. are we all still planning a visit to this at some point because it's "Universal"? Or is it too kiddie?
Never been to a Legoland either for that reason...
I would go. I personally find Legoland California very fun when I'm going with cousins, but at this point they have things we would actually consider rides, which wasn't the case when I first went in 2005.So like.. are we all still planning a visit to this at some point because it's "Universal"? I'm the same way. I'd love to check it out eventually, but there are several other parks that must take priority lolAt very most, the park might (BIG might) have one or two rides that could be of interest to me, and that's nowhere near enough to justify a trip from across the country. I've got to prioritize finally going to Universal Studios Hollywood and Disneyland first!
By the age they do school trips, they’ll have aged out. Six flags for 7th grade band? Sure. But elementary won’t do a trip. Maybe a private preschool goes once?I think the $70-80 price range is fine. A big portion of the revenue will probably be driven by local passholders and school trips.
Could possibly see a huge gap between weekday and weekend pricing.
I’d bet money it’s Shrek 4D. One theater.I'd bet that one of those is Shrek 4D. The ride film exists already, it's retired in the USA, people seem to like it, easy to maintain and eats people. Cheap and easy thing to toss in the park.
well high schoolers will want to go for prom or other eventsBy the age they do school trips, they’ll have aged out. Six flags for 7th grade band? Sure. But elementary won’t do a trip. Maybe a private preschool goes once?
Pass holders will be for during the week and Oklahoma/Louisiana/Arkansas (maybe? Silver dollar city will be closer and better)/Houston/Austin will be the weekend folks.
And Summer/Holidays will be gangbusters all week.

I’d also bet there is not one dark ride at opening day and that they’ll make one an expansion in the future (and even then, Peter Pan would blow it out of the water in quality). Their budget is going to be all towards theming here, and I’m fine with that.
With the small budget, I’d prefer higher quality theming as opposed to a better attraction.
The boat ride you see will be the E-ticket of the park. Don’t let the buildings fool y’all. They’re tiny.
Same I hope they take advantage of not having to rely on ridesHigh quality theming is all I want out of this. I really hope they don't skimp out on that. I'll be happy to go a couple of times a month to enjoy the atmosphere and have a couple Jurassic World IPAs.

Maybe Universal will make its versions of Nintendo games for kids to play with a band or item, some nice gardens/walk through attractions. Hell I'd kinda prefer in some ways a Jurassic ride where the AA's just look cool and nothing goes wrong.
Honestly....my favorite part of the ride is the new Indorex because it moves like its alive....the drop is fun but I want a ride where raptors next to you, see a dinosaur swimming etcFinally, we can see Hadrosaur Cove!
Ohh darn
those hours pretty much confirm no nighttime shows at least day one
The lake in the middle of the park looks perfect for a night time show
guess I’ll very much lower my expectations because even trolls land would be better at night but 7 pm it will barley be dark for an hour
