Shows you how much space is wasted for FFL. This is USH's WaterWorld overlaid directly on FFL. Sorry for the blurry image, but you can even see that the emergency gate/BoH access between it and Diagon is untouched. Only modification required would be to add an extended queue where the MIB HHN tent is (which you can see sticking out at the top), so there's lots of room for activities.

F&F replaces Rockit
Supercharged goes away for an all new ride not using the 360 tech (Godzilla I beg)
Fallon becomes SLOP to transition from Minions Land to NY
Concert venue moved to FFL to open up space for Minions Land expansion
Pokemon replaces Simpsons/ land adjacent with tents
MIB spared (but I know a major ride would go there so BTTF Hill Valley area)

Do we need more Minions Land in this park, though?

Converting Fallon into a flying theater “thesis” ride, still based in 30 Rock with a “History of Universal Studios” exhibit in lieu of the SNL gallery makes a ton of sense. Give it a Hanna Barbara/Jimmy Neutron vibe of crashing through various Universal movies, and it could actually be a banger. I’d prefer it in the front of the park, but New York works in the pinch they’ve created.

Supercharged, unless it becomes Godzilla, is likely to going to necessitate a retheme of San Francisco in its entirety. Unless they go for something really unexpected (Star Trek) there just isn’t anything the really “fits” that area of the park anymore.

I think anything less than a full dark ride would be kind of a waste of the "Great Universal Movie Ride" concept, so for that reason, I'd like to see it go on a leveled Supercharged plot, which would be big enough to house such a thing. San Francisco could be rethemed to anything.

If we HAD to keep the Fallon flying theater, obviously your idea is better than Race Through New York.

that's my idea, there's tons of minion's land concepts to pull from for ideas. i think a minions studio concept would be cute. you could also easily fit something from new york in there or create something new! It's admittedly a blue sky plan, but one that's easily actionable. And replacing an outdoor theater is easier than a ride if they want to expand Diagon or use the plot of land for an MiB replacement.

This is pretty good.
I don’t think we’ll get slop exactly but I wouldn’t be surprised if we get an Omnimover somewhere. FFL concert Venue I can get behind. Hill valley area. I love the idea, but I don’t know if that’s the best exact ip to use for a classics revival. It shouldn’t be the WHOLE PARK, but I think one or two more classics ride to balance out the park would be good for usf in giving it its own identity. I honeslty think one is more likely than we think though.

Also, I think post Pokemon, MIB is kinda on its way out. The ip is d-e-a-d. (Ok maybe that was too harsh, but it’s on its way out).

My dream scenario for USF:
Forgive me if it’s pipe-dreamy.
F&F replaces RRR
Supercharged replaced by jaws 2.0 using the rumored Mack rides rocking boat before Zelda got all screwy. San Fran becomes an amity wharf.
Ghostbusters indoor special effects and stunt show replaces Jimmy Fallon. (Also I’d be fine with a dark ride too).
Pokémon replaces Simpsons and some of sprung tent area.
Puss in boots omnimover replaces animal actors.
Outdoor concert area replaces fear factor live.
Mummy gets a retrack for the next 20 or so years.
Transformers gets a new exterior that makes it look like a city building and not just a metal box.

Another idea is if Universal still wants to keep LC open incase they can somehow figure out Zelda would be after Pokemon redevelop FFL and MIB into a Wicked land. Considering how that stretch of land is bigger than it looks, it could probably house a trackless ROTR level ride. (Universal isn't into trackless at the moment, but one can dream)

I don't see why they couldn't have the Mack Rides rocking boat at both IOA and USF in the event Zelda gets sorted out and thats the ride system they go with.

This is why I think they should make Ghostbusters a proper shooting dark ride, of MIB-caliber. That way, WHEN it’s time comes (Sadly I think it’s when it’s time comes), there will be proper successor to MIB in place so they can use that big space for whatever.

I was just saying this! MIB should be replaced with Ghostbusters 100% especially now that the new movies are breathing new life into the franchise.

Oh there is space if they are creative. The old plans for SLOP had an entire queue on the first floor of the building with the entire trackless ride in the second floor. They could reuse those old plans for something like this.

I've pounded it home so much on here, but the FFL/MIB Tent plot has a ton of potential.

Here's a small idea that wouldn't really make much of a difference, but could be a cool change.

Give FFL a makeover and change the name to something like "The HHN Theatre" or "Jack's Theatre."

Have some rotating entertainment in the theater throughout the year - then use it for HHN like usual.

You're right! And that's where the rumors are coming about Ghostbusters replacing RRR. I would just rather a dark ride for Ghostbusters than a coaster but I would still gladly accept a "RollerGHOSTer."

I know the park fandom likes to call out SWGE as the biggest fumble in theme park IP usage... but the Minions easily top that.

It got two sub-par attractions that are unmemorable, plus a land (if you can call it that) that is essentially a cheap reuse of pre-existing facilities. When you compare the land with the other Universal parks' Minion Land... it's easy to see that Orlando decided to take the easy route. I hope I'm wrong, and Universal decides to revitalize the area with the upcoming Rockit demo. Adding Minion Mayhem as quickly as possible to the park in order to capitalize the film's success made sense, but I can't excuse the land's execution after a decade of proven success (specifically merchandise) for the franchise.

I'm not against Minion Land being one of the first lands guests see at USF... I'm against the quality of that land (and its attractions) being your first representation/experience at the park.

The US parks started a leg down but I still have a lot of questions as to how the newer Minions Lands get built. Beijing’s outdoor portion is gorgeous, but then you get to the indoor section and it’s… a disaster. The Singapore version looked solid from beyond the construction walls, but a Minion Mayhem opening in 2025 is bewildering.
