I don't understand the want for a Wicked land. I do not see it having a long multi-decade interest like HP or Nintendo does.

(It’s already run for two decades on Broadway and inspired by a movie that’s nearly eight decades old.)

Full disclosure - I haven't seen Wicked. But from everything I've seen of it, it looks like it would be a visually impressive and fun land regardless of if you've seen it or not.

The Wizard of Oz is 80 years old and I'm sure most people would be pretty stoked for an Oz land... soooo there's not much difference lol

This is where I'm at. No real interest in the movie, but the parts that I've seen when my wife was watching, it looked incredible visually.

Additionally, if Universal builds it to the scale/quality of an Epic Universe land, it'll be awesome.

Slightly random question, but we're in the USF thread... Is the hesitation to overhaul Fear Factor (in addition to losing the show space for HHN), because that would landlock Diagon Alley? Looks that way based on Google maps satellite view. Sidenote: my GOD the F&F Supercharged building is massive for an abysmal ride. Can't wait for that to be leveled and redone in 5-10 years (**crosses fingers**)

If that's the reason, (which I'm doubful honestly), then they have to get over that. It's not like they're gonna be doing anything in that space in the next decade anyways. It's pretty ridiculous to not have even a bad show in such a major venue of the park.

And hard agree. Best case scenario we get a brand new attraction there that acts as a headliner for Studios. If we're in the timeline where USF actually doesn't get Wicked, Pokemon, Spongebob, or anything else major like that before 2030, I totally agree with everyone that a BTTF retheme would be the bare minimum.

A truly depressing (hypothetical) timeline for USF.

Post-Diagon, 2015 to 2030, would basically be 15 years of missed opportunities for the park.

This comment sums it up for me. This is my biggest frustrations with Universal. It just feels like they’re sitting around when it comes to adding things. You would think opening EPIC would’ve provided much needed momentum for the company to start announcing more things for guests to be excited about.

So a world class coaster coming next year is a nothing addition? A replacement for F&F and replacement for Simpsons are nothing? I really think a lot of people are writing additions off that haven't been announced yet...

I mean… we don’t even know the layout other than the fact it has a spike. Let’s slow up on calling it “world class.”
