No Harry Potter? I get why they wouldn’t include it in the advertisement since over at IOA it has a while nighttime show dedicated to it and they won’t to showcase their other IP’s. But it’s Harry Potter and Universal can never resist some good John Williams Hedwig theme or The Quidditch Match score.

It being called "Universal's Cinematic Celebration" to me implies that it will be comprised all of movies owned or released by Universal, Illumination, Dreamworks, etc. Thus no Harry Potter.

Also, Universal may not allowed to use it in such a show. Let's remember, CineSpec debuted in 2012. Hogsmeade was already open by then, but again, no Harry Potter.

And, if we are sticking to score's being used, Jurassic World would probably use a rendition of Giacchino's score

I'm a big fan of Giacchino... but anything other than the John Williams themes from the original film will be totally unacceptable. Totally. The JP themes are iconic; Giacchino's JW themes are... not.

And I would agree, but I get the feeling from Spectacle at Osaka that if it's strictly JW, we won't hear William's take. Especially if they are planning on distancing themselves from the Jurassic "Park" aspect of the franchise in the next two-three year's for UOR.

I think the issue around the naming here for most people is just the fact that the last show absolutely sucked and having a bit of a lack of creativity in the name maybe set people off. I really hope this is the opposite of that though. Naming aside a show can be great for being a great show. Doesn't need a flashy name. They seem to be investing in it with the new seating and platform for the water jets and lights so here's hoping they do it well and we can all enjoy it!

Well Potter is a big fixture of the parade in Japan. So I don't think using it in a nighttime show outside of a land is an issue. But to your other point, do they want it to be a big section of a Universal films showcase? Probably not. But that doesn't mean no appearance at all either.

true but potter in japan is also able to have a Christmas celebration and Halloween and live auction sorta stunt shows.But for some reason it seems we aren't getting any of these.

Like I said, Japan tends to do whatever they want. It's the reason I never expected Potter in this show to begin with.

Two parks in Orlando creates a somewhat different situation than Japan. I could see them trying to keep HP relegated to Hogsmeade for the Hogwart's night show, thus keeping that as an allure to stay in IOA for the evening.

That was a theory. I did hear workers say they were looking for a place to put a booth for the drone behind Richter's, and that's probably what started the drone discussion back up. But that was all I heard about it, and they said "drone," not plural. Who knows what they were talking about though.

Fan conjecture. We have conflicting info on drone usage. I believe that if drones are used, it won't be a fleet of light up drones making things in the sky, but more like a drone flying Delorean.
