Targeting opening on Memorial Day.

Tickets on Sale as soon as this month. "the timing of the planned opening could change."

Require multiday passes in order to enter (but they are quoting travel agent packages)


Edit: Sounds like they are using what we already know (aka what Alicia has been saying for months now) into a formal WSJ article.

So will we get an actual Date before Tickets go on Sale or after?

It all depends on how the inside of the rides are doing, the landscaping we don’t see in Celestial Park and other areas are much faster to wrap up compared to other things. Matters how the rides are testing.

I’m no insider so I can’t say, but I read this article as framing that Universal WANTS it open on Memorial Day weekend, not necessarily that it’s a done deal. DK at USJ was supposed to open early 2024, after all.

I also WANT it open on Memorial Day. It makes it much much easier for me to make it on opening day or opening weekend.

I want Memorial Weekend or earlier myself! Since EU might affect other plans in Orlando......

I think as we've seen in recent years, the Floridian summer weather is actually a significant disincentive for a lot of vacationers now. Opening in the dead of July would probably have indirect effects on the attendance and perception of the park (i.e grumpy hot people review things less kindly).

Although, if this park is built with a more reasonable amount of shade and cooling that the average Disney park, it shouldn't be as much of an issue.

We are planning on going first week of Feb 2026, so I just need it to have a full 6 months of operation to get the bugs out.

To go on opening day to experience a ride's true intensity and most impressive effects before it's tamed down for normies or to go six months later to enjoy a more peaceful yet potentially diminished experience. The eternal dilemma of every theme park park fan.

I would really love to start hearing/seeing indications that other ticket configurations will be available well before opening.

If Universal does limit attendance to reduce overcrowding, opening in the summer won't be too bad. It'll be hot, but as long as crowds aren't choking pathways, it won't be a worst case scenario.
