Not gonna lie, i do prefer potter majorly (though i think they should sell some fb wands in all potter lands, i think newt in particular would do really well and i would genuinely buy theseus’ on looks alone)

London, and use of the very popular Potter characters, instead of Paris & FB timeline, passes the common sense test. Go with the proven. And as I said before, they may have learned a big lesson from the issues with the GESWL Batuu timeline and location. Coincidence, perhaps not. And, even more reason for an Epic delay to reformulate, using a CV cover. Hope this rumor is true.

In a perfect world:

-Main ride becomes a trip through the Ministry of Magic/Department of Mysteries
-Secondary ride becomes a trip through Newt's suitcase, maybe it's been kept up as a sort of Magical Zoo by the Ministry
-Show could be maybe a small battle between Death Eaters/Order of the Phoenix

Would the rumored designated expansion plot just not be used? i couldn’t imagine a potter area other than the ministry which could eventually occupy it

For all we know, bringing in Kloves as the screenwriter wasn’t the perfect fix they wanted. Maybe WB isnt as convinced of a 5 movie series as they were before. Especially if this land was going to be based on the second film, which was not as well received.

There’s a large expansion plot between the Potter plot and the dueling coaster. I would expect that to be used for another property than Potter

There’s space behind the right attraction. I heard last year they had ~5 acres for expansion in that land so I’ve been guessing that was it.

She's built her career and franchise on combing over every single detail and it seems to have worked out well for her so far. Giving into demands is a slippery slope and had she not been so adamant about The Wizarding World in Universal, we might not have got as good of an experience.

Universal owes JK Rowling more than JK Rowling owes Universal.

This isn’t a demand of “We want to make a bad land”. It’s “We want to devote 1/4 of our new billions of dollars theme park to a property people like.” I doubt universal would give her a “demand” anyway. But if I’m them I’m doing everything to not have to devote a huge theme park land to a dud of a movie series.

Very interesting if true. I thought they did consider Diagon Alley London? I haven't gotten a park map in years tbh but if its just "Diagon Alley" then I guess the double London thing really isn't an issue. Interesting, I wonder if they'd ditch the indoor concept except devoting it to the ministry specially. I'll sip to my beer on this rumor.

Frankly, I think FB diversifies the resort as a whole a bunch more, and if you just slap "Wizarding World of Fantastic Beasts" on it I think it would pass the smell test and people, and the Potter crowd would 100% buy in. Just may need to market it more.

However, a Ministry of Magic ride and Ford Anglia ride is just simply a better sell to the masses so I understand it. Disappoting, but I wonder if that patent about going up and down on a "safari" type looking machine patent that came out recently could be for that? A modern day Kongforntation would be soooo dope. Lots of ways they could go here. Id still be down for more Potter they've just utterly nailed it so far, but Paris sounded great.

Talk about walking on egg shells for Universal.

If I was Universal, I would be working overtime to make a concept that blows the Fantastic Beasts concept away having not to offend and simply offering a better option.

Knowing Universal, they'll convince her to continue with Harry Potter in the parks and then the new Fantastic Beasts films will be incredible.
