Just to clarify, I wasn't talking about dragons being in the land to add kinetic energy. I meant more that it seems to me the primary appeal of a HTTYD land would be to get up close -- "close" by theme park standards -- with lots of dragons (or fly on/with them, but we know Universal opted to not go with a flying simulator).

Hopefully we get some of that.

What they do at Jurassic World in Hollywood would be sufficient. Including the tiny baby reptile on the arm you can pet.

in 2019, universal commissioned a prototype of a baby-raptor puppet-style httyd baby dragon. they thought it would be too expensive for the IP so they didn’t make it. i wonder if it will come back.

Probably. Assuming it would be a separate area isolated from the Mario and DK stuff but probably in the expansion pad directly adjacent to SNW.

What if the area being constructed that we thought was a pit for launch track is actually for elevator lift similar to Cobra’s Curse? Potentially explains why there is no roof over that scene in the blueprints. Lift could be covered by village facade or rock work on all sides, with coaster emerging from the top.

I like this theory as it’d be different from any other Universal coaster made before. They’re trying a lot of new things in this park so I believe it.

I got the vibe that Screamscpae was saying that the ride vehicles were going to be like Cobra's Curse, with 2 across in 2 rows facing the same direction, compared to other Mack Family/Extreme Spinners that feature forward and reverse seating. That makes sense, especially if they have any small show elements to which they want to direct our attention.

I have been wondering about a elevator lift system feature myself. I finally found this early-construction photo of Corba's elevator recently, and I am unsure if it matches up with the rumored area many guessed was a launch or lift hill.

May have been part of the exploration of compact ride systems for Japan, especially for Pokémon. There are several tower or vertical ride system patents from the last couple years. This one is from 2020 I believe, only recently updated.

If I recall, the article even mentioned Japan being a great place to use a small footprint. It could have been a fun ride in Classic Monsters where you pop in a room and accidentally disturb a monster and then have to escape real quick. Obviously, not coming to EU from what has been released but an interesting system.
