I understand it's probably much too early to be sure, but what are the chances that The Invisible Man makes an appearance in the Dark Universe land? I relatively recently watched the first film to prep for the HHN32 house, and over the last two months he has jumped up into being almost my favorite of the UCM haha! He's definitely a lower tier member so lower priority, and a little harder to integrate than Dracula, Wolfman, or Creature, but man is he just plain fun to watch! It'd be a real shame to not include him in something around the land.

Plus, he could have low costume, makeup and actor costs. ;) :)

Legitimately not! I'm a big fan of the character! I totally get the bit of "He's Invisible! He's behind you right now!" but I honestly think the bandaged and robed costume look is very cool and I love the voice performance from that first film and that they use in the house. I'd love for him to have a little role in the big UCM ride!

Someone suggested it a while back, but an AE-style sensory experience with Invisible Man as the main monster/animatronic could be really cool.

The Invisible Man is my favorite movie of the classic monster era as well. The recent remake with Elizabeth Moss was really good as well. I hope he’s a part of this land.

The Invisible Man is a lot of fun because he’s the only monster who unreservedly revels in his villainy. Plus, with all due respect to Bela, Boris, and Elsa, Claude Raines is the best actor of the classic monster bunch. He deserved a much bigger slice of the maze this year - it’d be harder to design but offers opportunities for really creative scenes and effects. Making a walk-around version a part of DU is a great idea, since he offers much more improv potential then the more prominent monsters - he could be a more erudite Beetlejuice type figure.

I’ve just reminded myself how much I wish they’d kept the monster stage show rather then adding another coaster.

Hmmm, somehow the idea of getting breathed on, bled on, and licked hits different when it’s not an alien and is just….some guy

Any validity to the Screamscape rumor about Luigi’s Mansion? Obviously Phase 2 is a ways out, but just wondering if anyone else had heard that rumor.

I’ve heard rumblings but nothing concrete enough to report on.

It’s kind of a layup idea, just like a Mario Kart ride is. It’s all about execution, but I think this would be a slam dunk. Omnimover witn the AR and it’s a more cohesive shooting game than Mario Kart that all ages can do. Boom.

I have no idea what a Luigi mansion is but two shooter attractions right next to each other? Overkill, no?

Possibly, if all you're doing in the attraction is simply shooting at the ghosts, then yes. If they could creatively incorporate the vacuum and/or flashlight from the games, I think there would be potential to make it distinct enough.

I like the idea of Luigi's Mansion being a spooky showbuilding that's also visible from Monsters.

I could go for a Starfox shooter/simulator using Kuka Arm tech. Think a mix of Forbidden Journey with GotG

So under the assumption that Luigi's Mansion really is what they are considering right now, then I wonder what that would mean for the rest of that expansion pad between Super Nintendo World and Dark Universe. I doubt LM would cover that entire area by itself given how much smaller the land's are for the more popular game series like Mario and DK.

Maybe they just make that whole expansion an extension of the "Mario universe" which would include a Luigi's Mansion attraction among other things. Then if they want to do a Nintendo IP completely unrelated to Mario in the future they could choose to put it into a different park like USF?

This is my guess, it’s all one giant Super Nintendo World that relates to Mario, can lead to a few portals. I wonder if the main entrance will always be thru the 1 portal or if they’re forced to add another.

A Luigi's Mansion version of Monsters Inc: Ride and Go Seek would be absolutely phenomenal and I hope it happens. I don't think anyone would complain about multiple interactive rides outside of the online Universal community. The expansion pad would probably be divided evenly between Nintendo and Monsters.
