The HE system is all on one long cable and the cars are attached to a single point on the cable. It goes back and forth between the stations. To add more cars you'd have to change how it works.

Yes. Plus, there will be a parking garage at the fourth park, no doubt. So you only have X number of people that will be utilizing alternative transportation.

What if: Universal would have all it's parking off site.
For both resorts, including theme parks and hotels. A central parking hub is attached to transportation options for all destinations in a quick and personalised way.

Driverless pods would bring you fast and in 1 short ride with no stops to your destinations while providing you with information about your room or opening hours for the theme park you want to go to.

You bought your ticket and receive a tapu tapu or you already got one when you booked your resort vacation. Step up to a console and your tapu tapu knows what hotel you are staying and gives you the option to select your hotel or one of the theme parks. You also select the people in your party and 1 or 2 pods drive up and your name is above the sign, ready to go.

It would free up a lot of land to build a theme park and many more hotel rooms. These pods already exist, are green and lightweight.

This is what I think they should go with. It's personalised and relatively cheap compared to the other options available.

Depends on the size of the trains. Also, look at the HE capacity with only 3 cars. It moves a lot of people on 3 highly themed cars. Strip those down (they won't need that level of theming with the tiny compartments) and you can nearly double the capacity, double the number of cars to 6 and you can move huge numbers of guests. Also, you can build multiple lines. If you have two running parallel they take up just slightly more space and add capacity as well as a backup (one goes down for maintenance/rehab/etc, the other still runs). Make them connect in a central hub (like the Wet N Wild property) and you can move thousands of guests per hour with minimal staffing (they can be fully automated) and move above all the traffic.

Even if each train can move a million people at a time, the turn around time for a train to go from one end of the property to the other is too long. HE is about half a mile. This thing is going to be over 2.5 miles minimum, and probably longer than that. So 5 times the travel time of HE at least. So 25 or so minutes from when one train leave till the other arrives? And that assumes no stops anywhere, including WNW. Even if they got it down to a 2o minute wait, people are still going to be pissed. Multiple lines probably aren't going to happen either as this thing is probably going to have to go down the center of Universal or Kirkman. You only have so much room to work with. While there are ways to make a cable driven train work, a back and forth deal like HE just isn't practical in this case. A cable system that loops that the trains physically turn around at the end, or have some way to grab the outgoing cable can work probably. In that case, the cable never stops moving, and you can have many trains all running at the same time.

These funiculars can run faster than HE does. If you base it on what exists at Disney right now for the EPCOT monorail line, they run two trains with a capacity of ~300 @ with a 20-25 minute round trip for the 3+ mile trip from TTC to EPCOT and 3+ mile trip from EPCOT to TTC. A 6 car train on a funicular could run the same kind of capacity (I would guess even more depending on design). If you run two of them next to each other and add more capacity (and stagger departure times) it would offer more than enough capacity. Just like with MK and EPCOT, each park would have its own parking, so you'r never moving EVERY guest at the same time, just a number of them along with resort guests. They could even route them through a hub at WnW with one running direct from Universal north property to Universal south property (epxress) and another running North to hub at WnW then WnW to South property offering resort service as well as added capacity (guests would have to change trains at the hub). There is plenty of capacity that way. Supplement that with resort buses (just like Disney does for busy times and added service/convenience and you've got a functioning transportation network.

Trolls 2 is a go. Sounds like a viable possibility for an attraction, especially if it kills in merch sales.

Trolls was the #2 toy brand sold behind Disney's princess line in 2016.

Could be fun for a dark ride...I didn't see the movie, but the trailer looked like it has some neat characters and looks to it

Trolls doesn't really work for a theme park land, but I can see a Trolls ride as a part of a larger cartoon/animation area (aka. Toon Lagoon Update).

Yeah, any IP that is a huge merch seller has a chance at being a ride somewhere down the line.

Comcast CEO Brian Roberts said Universal's future is franchises and animation. Troll fits animation so expect that. Also, it looks like Universal wants to buy up some Japanese IPs based on the content acquisition job opening on the NBCUniversal being focused on Japan. So we may actually see anime or Studio Ghibli in the 4th park.

With the investing of Sanrio for Universal over the last year (with Hollywood potentially recieving Hello Kitty aswell), I think it's very much an open possibility that they may invest into something similar to Universal Cool, just to test the popularity of Japanese IP's domestically. And if it does become a success; I think that would more than likely give way for that to possibly arrive for I-Drive.

Any type of Anime won't be coming to the American parks without a test. ex) Special Event / shops. As much as universal wants to invest, they don't know if it'll be a hit.

Doesn't matter if its a hit, they already own an and have owned a anime studio since 2009 and within the past year ramped up production in producing animes. They buying up USJ and if they are going to continue the "clone" strategy, rides based on animes in Japan probably will come to the states. Add in Universal being the main distributor for the three major anime distribution companies (Funimation, Crunchyroll, and Gkids), nearly every Hollywood studio is starting to adapt animes for live action films which means there is commercial value, and Comcast is all about synergy I would assure attractions more likely than just special events and test.

I love anime, but sadly enough I have to agree with you.
I have always wanted a Neon Genesis Evangelion ride, but know it will never happen.

Anime has a strong cult following, but that's about the extent of it's interest. It's popularity is probably way too narrow to support a U.S. attraction. Japan's another story though.
