Now here's a question: would you be willing to pay $699 for a Premium Annual Pass from Universal?

Let's revisit this question: now that Potter is undergoing technical rehearsals, would you be willing to pay this price?

Tough sell.

If any additional perks came with the pass...maybe.  I would settle for $100 less.

Agreed. Like a Halloween Horror Night front of the line pass/ticket :) (one can wish!). Any idea when this is going to be available?

Universal REALLY needs a parking pass and non black day out pass, even if the parking is limited by time of day as it is now, or how many they can sell.

When my premium star pass expires I am going to take my money to another park if universal does not want to cater to my needs, nuff said.

Hmm so $699, which is $100 more than the deluxe Disney pass which does not include parking and has blackout dates. That would be $150 less than the DLR Signature pass, which is the former Premiuim without the two last weeks of December (I maintain that the thousand-plus pass is just for the super rich and suckers)... that does include full-time parking and 15-to-20 percent discounts on dining and retail. And of course access to two full-day parks along with DTD.

Considering FP is free at Disney, even with a non-peak HHN pass (which is almost always crowded anyway) I still think the DLR pass is more bang for your buck. What's really dizzying is the fact that if you go enough to USH the pass may be worth it since you'll be tallying up that amount in parking receipts anyways! Six visits alone equals over $100 in parking, which makes for 22 visits before one who has the gold pass reaches the same possible value as this new one. That's less than twice every month...

It might be cheaper to just quit your current job and work at USH. Free parking all-day, admission and discounts while getting daily hands-on backstage tours and they pay YOU! Good deal.

Wait, am I missing something?  Was a new Premium Pass announced that's better than the Gold Annual Pass?  Do we have a new equivalent to the old All Star pass?  I can't find any info on it.  Is this Insider Info that has not been released yet? Or are we still just speculating here?

I believe he mentioned that the pass would be available around this week, as it seems that it is indeed a premium pass.

If what GoatMilk is implying, it seems that it's going to be VERY similar to Orlandos Premier pass; only with the higher price and maybe a few minor changes, and that may not be a bad idea. Atleast to me; but we'll see what it entails by this week hopefully.

The idea of this pass being higher in price than Orlando's so insanely absurd and maddening even with overcrowding concerns.

Well, at LEAST they're finally coming out with a pass with free parking. That's a step in the right direction. If that's how much it will cost, I will just stick with my gold pass. While those are all good benefits, I think $700 is still WAY too much for a pass like that.

Single day ticket price went up as well.

The new "gate price" is $115, an increase of $20.  The cheapest ticket online is now $90.

The new post on this site says that this new premium pass comes with Front of Line access to all rides and access to shows and attractions two hours before closing, but where does it say that on Universal's I can't seem to locate it, thanks!
