Funny thing is Typhoon Lagoon, Aquatica are all near roads. As you mentioned so was WNW . Been to all and cant remember hearing traffic noise. Obviously those side roads and a 4 lane highway arent the same granted but still, sound velocity plays a major role here. The more plants, running water, splashing, other park noises, background music, and peoples voices, the better for keeping sound out. A Sound wall would be great but might rob the thematic look of Volcano Bay.

It would be an interesting choice if they decided to build a waterfall as a sound wall for the length of the highway.

Those waterfalls cascading down the volcano might do the job alone.

That coupled with all of the geysers, running water down slides, and the wave pool waves?!

Hopefully they will have something similar to Jimmy Buffet's.

Yeah, I'm honestly not worried about it...Wet N' Wild did a fine job of cutting down the sound..If a park is quiet enough to hear a highway then there is a significant issue...or it is closed for the night

Personally in W&W I always felt close to the road, then the whole park lacked aesthetics. Aquatica on the other hand feels more secluded, a lot of it is that it is superbly landscaped as well, so in spite of it being a barebones stairs and slides park, you never feel like that in aquatica.

Has there been any new information about the water coaster? It seems like we're about 2 months until open and nobody seems to know what's inside the coaster.

I've changed my mind on where I think the sit down dining will be based on the video clip that shows the family eating with the tiki roofing, and the angle of the volcano.

Must be that photographers eye.

Great spot @Disneyhead. Fantastic hidden gem which makes you wonder what other treats are to be found inside once the gate open.

I think the music you hear for the promos can be a good indication of what you'll hear in the parks...

Throughout Volcano Bay, you’ll discover a vibrant blend of Polynesian cultures and architecture from across the South Pacific – all inspired by the travels of the Waturi. You’ll also find surprises throughout the park, including Vol – the ancient fiery spirit trapped inside the Krakatau volcano.

Insider tip: You’ll have the opportunity to speak with Vol inside the volcano. But first, you have to find him…

Animatronics just have to move and be able to make noise per the definition. So if its a talking face with visible facial expressions in the wall like an Easter Island Head then it's still an AA.

Per the typical usage vs mechanical figure, it has to have complex movement and audio. It can't just move an arm up and down. It would have to have an arm move up and down with fingers and elbows bending if you catch my drift.

An AA doesn't have to make noise. They were originally called "Audio Animatronics" because it used an audio signal recorded to a magnetic tape to trigger the movements. No one builds "AAs" anymore. They are now just animatronics, since a computer triggers the movements.

The difference between a mechanical figure and an animatronic figure is an animatronic figure is programmable.
