So many mysteries that I cannot wait to have resolved. I think this is a job for Alicia as she does a great job of grabbing shots that shows a subject relative to another so we can get our bearings. Do you have your tickets Alicia?
I've been away for vacation much of this week, (yay Legoland Beach Retreat!) So I have very little idea what you guys are talking about...
I can say for certain that the entrance to the two Serpentine Body Slides is on the left-side of the volcano, near where that wave pool circle indicator sign is.
I believe the entrance for the Body Plunge is on the right side of the volcano, behind the splashdown pool where that ride ends with the see-through tube through the water.
So, that's two sets of different stairs. One starts on left and goes behind, the other starts on right and goes up the side inside (mostly.)
Is that what we're talking about? Or are there new stairs I am not aware of since my visit to take pics last week?

I'm thinking the entrance is this path over the wave pool, into the volcano base, see the sign on the left?:
The stairs we've been seeing in the back of volcano are probably for the Serpentine slides, coming from this entrance:
Meanwhile, on the right side of the volcano are different stairs, the newer ones being added:
I assume these stairs are for the Body Plunge, since they're closer to where that ride ends, just like the entrance for the other slides start where they end:
Of course, these pics are a week old, so y'all are probably discussing something I haven't seen yet.
