WaterWorld

My guess is sometime around june 15th, maybe the week before to mess with Disney opening Marvel Land but I doubt before June

An attraction that's been around for 25+ years and is merely a stunt show will have no "messing" with Disney in anyway shape or form in attendance, revenue, or news. I don't think that thought has even crossed Universal's mind as a possibility.

Fantasmic is the same age and draws people in

Second people do loveeee the show and it sells out most summer days

Third people are bored and want to do something fun, its just something you can say is reopen and come back to see your favorite show

I'm not saying some big media event but more like on Facebook and Twitter
Like how the same day SLOP videos went up Disney announced Marvel Land opening date

Fantasmic is a nighttime show that happens once or twice a night with severely limited viewing capacity. NOT even remotely the same thing.

I was unaware Waterworld could "sell out" when it's not a separately ticketed show?

But of course it's a busy popular show in the summer. The weather is 90+ degrees & guests want to cool off by getting wet from The Mariner & Smokers.

I got to see the first showing today. No more water effects on the audience at all (even the jet skies now execute turns that don't splash into the audience). The pre-show is now just getting the audience to stomp their feet (probably the best they can do without being able to splash people any more). They do wear a sort of neckerchief mask, which they do pull down while performing on the water.

Also, because they spread out the audience so much, it doesn't take much before the stadium fills up...so if you want to see this show, you really have to be there a minimum 30 minutes before showtime. They escort you to a seat, and you leave in groups as if being dismissed from a classroom one row at a time.

Show was not all that different, but the pacing felt a bit off to me. The plane didn't fly over, although all the other effects went off for it. I figure they're still getting their footing back.

Plane launch ran on the 1:30 showing. The show was good and not as polished but that is to be expected. Really nice to have it back. An it does fill up. The express line was even super long. We lined up 30 min ahead of showtime.
