You know I just got back from Disney and to be honest, The new Fantasyland's gonna blow the Boy Wizard out. If Uni puts more HP as an attempt to overcome the mouse they failed lol. But hey They gotta make dat money.

I love ya guys. But this is coming from an old school Uni guy who liked both Resorts. HP was a fine addition to IOA I admit it but the thought of adding more HP to USF to me just lost the feel that it used to have. Disney still has the kid at heart feel everytime I go. Hell I remember going to USF for the 1st time it was better then MGM Studios. I have to understand that most of you guys are of the new Gen of Theme park fanatics.

I'm very much old school with my sensibilities. Great theming and detail mixed with great rides = great. Potter 2.0 will be 2 great rides mixed with great theming and detail = win.

there's no way that Stephen Schwartz will let some dumbed-down version of Wicked run while the show is still selling out each night on Broadway, and the tour continues to go all around America. But Universal has a way with ruining certain morals, I mean, aren't we getting two Hogwarts now?

The abridged (ok, "dumbed down" if you will) version of The Lion King playing 5 times a day in DAK seems to have had a negligible effect on the Broadway and touring productions of the full musical, despite using the same songs. Hell, it even sold out shows in downtown Orlando 25 minutes away. The theme park and Broadway markets have little overlap. And, if anything, I imagine Schwartz would welcome the not insubstantial royalties that would come from a half dozen performances 7 days a week PLUS CD/merch sales to a previously untapped audience. Maybe Brazilian tour groups will switch from "Brazil! Brazil!" to "Defying Gravity."

While I fear FFL is too big a venue, "Wicked" seems clearly aimed at tween through college aged girls--arguably the one market none of the Orlando parks currently cater to.

^That why we all put funny pics and vids, rather than an intelligent discussion that would have gotten us nowhere.

No one is going to take a picture of it. It's behind the scenes. Unless you want to rent airtime to do it. Looks like a crane that was on the Amity plot.

it's clearly visible from the public HESS station... or it was when I took my photos.

Yeah, we both know that intelligent discussion is not what that guy was after. A reaction was. And I guess he got it, just not the one he wanted.

A few things...

1. Again, FLE is not the answer to the "Boy Wizard". If Avatar ever gets off the ground, that will be more or less Disney's attempt at "retaliation".
2. Whether you like FLE or not, which is all just a matter of opinion, the fact of the matter is that FLE will not draw a 25+% attendance increase for 2 consecutive years. If FLE has the same crowds for it's opening day as Potter, I'll be shocked.
3. Universal knows they will always play 2nd fiddle, however they are going to try their damndest to be a really close 2nd instead of a distant one.
4. I'm very much old-school.

I don't think I fall into the New Generation of theme park fans either. Although it would be nice to be young and impressionable again.

Ok, maybe I should clarify, no one is going to take pictures of what they're doing. Pictures of cranes from 2 blocks away don't show a lot.

Perhaps you were not a member when the WW opened... but a few months before that, a picture of the Kuka vehicles was snuck out, all of the benches stretching towards the sky in the maintenance bay. It will be worse this time...
