Wizarding World - Diagon Alley Discussion (Opens 2014)

Are they going to announce everything at once, or do it separately so each can have its own time in the spotlight (and have an announcement up its sleeve to counter anything Disney might do.)

Or maybe they won't even announce anything at all until it's completed. "We're finished: it's open now!"

No, everything will be announced at least 6 months prior to opening. They want people to have enough time to plan vacations.

My guess for announcements:

Announcement 1/2013 Announcement in November 2012
-Transformers
-FFL Replacement
-Springfiled

Announcement 2/2014 Announcement in November 2013
-Mount Crumpit
-New show in Toon Lagoon Theater

And then depending on construction timelines, the following could be announced in November of next year or in the summer of 2014.
-Wizarding World of Harry Potter 2.0

Announced in Summer 2014
-Universal Studios Orlando 25th Anniversary Celebration for 2015. Updated parade and a new show for Universal Cinematic Spectacular
-Redone KidZone

Cool. They seem to be going fast, so a late 2014 opening wouldn't shock me, but it's impossible to tell without inside info.

Yea, it's probably the tower crane going up. Same thing you see at Transformers now.

Thanks JS. It appears to me to be an entirely new way of executing projects. No need to reposition cranes which can require time in scheduling and logistics.

Yup. This setup seems to allow for much quicker schedules.

Universal announcing Potter a year from now sounds insane. I'd think they'd be nearly done with it by then and it'd be pretty obvious what it would be to anyone with eyesight. Seems crazy, but hey, crazier things have happened....

From what we're seeing, it'll be about 2 more years until completion, if you compare it to WWoHP 1. Add in the fact that the HE will probably add onto construction time, and an announcement late next year doesn't sound out of the question. They don't care what people see once they're in the park. They just want to stop people from putting off trips.

The embankment will be done in like a month. But that really doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things.
