^NP, I could have just as easily made the same mistake if I was exited and had some news to post. It was just an easy play on words for me, and your basic info is appreciated if not confusing as to why right now? Are they going to mount the lion's heads from boats?

My guess would be that since the lions don't have to do with the structural nature of the wall, it is just another decoration equivalent of the lamp posts that can be put on later. It's really only us on OU stressing about their current absence.

Pretty sure we're the only ones who really know about them.

No? hah Just kinda assumed it would consume the whole wall and not just the bottom.

The upper concrete has been given a granite finish that matches the style of the embankments and the lower concrete has been painted that pattern because of the water line.

I put a bunch of pictures up from yesterday on OrlandoRocks.com. It looks like at the time approximately 6pm the water was still no quite level. Which is good because the painting at the bottom does not look quite right to me yet, hopefully the level comes up a little more. I understand why they did that, so that as it gets dirty over time from splashing it still looks the same. My guess is they are trying to get the water front ready and redirect traffic along the water before HHN, but that is just a guess.

why not put the lions on before filling the lagoon back up?

Will they need to drain it again?

No, they won't go through the trouble or expense, probably just do it from a dingy.

My guess is that don't want to hint at what is coming. Right now it's just a new wall. If they starting adding lion heads and lamp posts then it becomes something more recognizable.

I was going to say the same thing. I wouldn't be surprised if the lions and lamps are over a year away.

Well, if they're going to open it up, they need lamps, unless they put some temporary ones... But the lions, sure, those can come later. Also explains the smooth finish where they're supposed to be, instead of having holes or something to be attached.

I dunno. I'd say 95% of the people going through the park would have absolutely no clue what it was even if the lions and lamps were there.
