I'm okay with this rumor. It works. I like it.

One of the "minor" attractions would be Olivanders, right? I'd like to think they would move it to its proper location.

It will. With multiple show rooms. But I don't believe that that is what is being considered one of the 2 minor attractions. although with multiple show rooms it would in fact be an attraction.

How rumorey/rumoresque are these rumors Disneyhead? Are these directly from insider sources? I am only curious because I can't shake hardly anything out of my source(s); only a few bones and lots of Mona Lisa smiles... :'(

I am at about a 8 of 10 confident in what I am hearing. But I too am getting a lot of Cheshire cat smiles. I am VERY interested in what they have up their sleeve. I am positive there are surprises to come.

I still wish it was something besides Potter, but the rumor is interesting. I would welcome Mythos staying and getting a coaster and ride with the new Kong tech.

I should clarify, the Hogwart's Express/ Kong 360 thing is something I made up. NOT anything I have heard as an actual rumor. But I know Universal Orlando is very interested in bringing an attractions using that tech to town.

I just do not understand why would they not get rid of the rest of LC though. It would be very very very tiny and almost nonexistant at that point.

Cool, someone is being very generous with you. One of my sources only gave me a VERY EASY riddle (knows that I play riddle on here) and it fits with one of the items you mentioned, but I was asked not to mention the riddle or anything about it online or anywhere yet.

On another note: I was really surprised to see FJ listed on IMDB. Are theme park film snippets (even the Fat Lady... click 'Full Cast and Crew') usually posted on imdb?

The only thing I can figure is that they really don't want to lose Mythos, and they figure only leaving Mythos would look weird, which I would tend to agree with.

Very interesting on both your riddle and the IMDB thing. I wonder if Things like Honey I Shrunk the Audience is on there.

best case scenario for me is to move mythos to the port of entry, a crazy undertaking, but its better than losing it. its the only part of LC that i would have a problem with disappearing

Yeah, they are. I was surprised when I ran across that a few months back. Here are some more examples:

- The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man
- Honey, I Shrunk the Audience

That's a little too crazy.

I had an idea on how to keep Mythos while still using PF for more Potter. I should write it up one time....

The phase 2 area actually is quite large as it is, and more than sufficiant for what needs to be done for Diagon Alley. We get Potter Phase 2 and get to keep Mythos and PF. Win-Win.

Brian, i believe that the OLD rumor of Phase 2 going into the studios is going to be a thorn until construction starts. But let's re-emphesis the NEW "rumor" (I am hoping what you are hearing is the same as what I am hearing).

The current rumor for Phase 2 is that the Leaky Cauldron is gonna fall onto Fire Eater's Grill like a farmhouse on a wicked witch. The Leaky Cauldron will span the walkway with a highly themed yet somewhat open air covered seating area. You will pass through the back wall into Diagon Alley. Diagon Alley's main walkway will run from The Leaky Cauldron to Gringott's Bank (Sindbad's). The tall buildings and enclosed nature of the streets will block out EVERYTHING but Diagon Alley. Knockturn Alley will be a spur off of the main walkway and lead to the current WWOHP. What better place for mysterios portal to Scotland than Knockturn Alley, Right?

I really love that idea, however I don't see Knockturn Alley being the walkway to Hogsmeade, it just doesn't make sense to me. Maybe there would be a facade walkway in DA that says keep out or something along those lines. Then again, I am reading the books for the first time and only saw KA in the movies :P

I was looking at the size of different buildings such as Spiderman, FJ, or Cat in the Hat and then looked at Sinbad. The new attraction would take up a great deal of the space.

Hey everyone, I haven’t posted on this thread since page 1 and from back then to today, nothing much but 99 pages of bickering has been the outcome (with of course some very reliable sources giving us some hints).

I was bored one day, and through the power of procrastinating from homework (don’t say you haven’t felt its strength…) I created a very rough (and out of scale) SketchUp model of how I think the London section of the second phase of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter could fit together.

I have labelled everything so you will need to have SketchUp 8 to have a clue what I am trying to illustrate (the 3D view from the website just wont work, just try download it).

As anyone who has worked with SketchUp they will know its flaws (such as crashing on me 3 times on this very model), but here is the link to my rough visualisation of what I would like to see included.

http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/details?mid=c479405b204c8d79494a51b640588d64

What do you all think? I put some research into what Wizarding locations are in London (thanks a heaps to the Harry Potter Wiki) and I think I managed to put in most peoples ideas for phase 2 (from the last 99 pages I read).

P.S. This model is based on a screenshot of Google Earth; I completely went over the remaining LC (including Mythos) because I just can’t see anything in the Harry Potter universe that could be re-themed to it. Maybe Universal could get a crane and chuck it in the studios? Possibly not, but everyone, please remember what Universals’ last risk of demolishing half an island investing USD$250m into an expansion. That had a pretty positive outcome (free world wide advertising and colossal increase in attendance); image what would have happened if they wanted to save their “precious Enchanted Oak Café”, I wouldn’t have had the faintest idea that Universal existed (sorry Uni, lucky Harry Potter saved the day).

Wow after catching up on all of the pages from this weekend, I believe the scenarion Dave is talking about has ALWAYS been the most logical of choices. When it comes to those of you who are complaining on losing a stage show, the Gringotts coaster will have a much higher capacity and therefore take more people off the streets than the Sinbad show will do anyday.

Wow, can't believe we're already to 99 pages...

It should be interesting to see what happens with this... Can't wait to see!

Somehow I don't think anyone would complain about losing that show!
