Great video, AllAroundOrlando. Thanks for sharing, Felipe.

This month's TM newsletter has a nice little write-up on the "over 30 unique wardrobe ensembles" coming to Diagon Alley and how the wardrobe in Hogsmeade just won an industry award. It sounds like some TM's will have some choices in personalizing their uniforms, which is great to hear.

Jimmy Fallon just announced that the Tonight Show will be at the park June 16th to June 19th. He said we're gonna get a first look at Diogon Alley on the show.

Judging by the fact it says "first look" it seems less likely at least to me a grand open will occur 2 days after

I love how NBC/Uni get away with the outrageous plugging of UOR, on Fallon, Today etc.

The pieces they present are essentially infomercials. OFCOM (UK communications regulator) would have a field day rapping the knuckles of a a TV station over her for that!

So the people waiting to board the train at kings cross would see the train coming into the station backwards. Any thoughts?

It's no different than when the Carsland opening had the Good Morning America crew out for the grand opening or the Disney Christmas Day Parade every year in terms of the type of advertising.

Comcast owns NBC/Universal, so it's no surprise that they get a say in the programming and wanting to cross-promote a highly anticipated addition to one of their theme parks.

Why? Technically, the dragon should not be seen until that grand opening day anyways. I mean, sure we know that it'll be visible from other areas, but, if not for Fallon, the official first viewing of the dragon would be opening day, not previews or spying on it from odd angles.

I totally get why it's happening because of parent companies etc, it's just the rules over here would prevent it happening as the shows have to conform to advertising and product placement rules.

Not sure, but I thought I'd read you won't see the train pulling in at all. Maybe a separated room you're confined to just before boarding? Maybe just wishful thinking.

I'm willing to bet the HE will already be at the station waiting for you when you enter 9 3/4

If you were at King's Cross (End of the Line) and there was a steam train, would it have not been backed in anyway after the loco that pulled it in is moved from one end to the other on a turn table?

Remember that after the train stops it still needs to unload. I think that when people waiting to load would see the train, stopped.

SPOILER ALERT

When you feel the train stopping while you are riding, it is the part you are being attacked by dementors. This is the part that the engine switches and backs the train in to the other station. They only have been running the train at night after hours.

Guys, think of the train as Earthquake/Disaster 2.0. The train works the SAME way.

When at the "main" station, guests will walk out onto the train platform and the train will be waiting with no sign of other guests leaving the train (just like Disaster).

The train will move forward until it reaches the other station(just like Disaster).

Once at the other station, guests will load and unload(think of this like the main show of Disaster except you unload in the subway station).

Once the train is loaded again, it will go in reverse back to the "main" station (just like Disaster).

All Universal did was take a very old ride concept and system and enhance it big time because when you really break down it and strip away everything that makes it the HE, it really is just a new version of Disaster's ride system...

There is a switching point half way on the ride. It is by the bistro on the backlot.

Ok I think I need a diagram of how this switching thing works. I can't see getting into the train knowing the engine is in front of you, and then feeling like you're traveling backwards. Maybe your sense of front and back gets lost or something.

Well this should be interesting

Hey pals! We promised you that'd we'd take The Tonight Show on the road as soon as we could, so we're very excited to announce that The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon will be heading to Orlando, Florida for summer vacation! That's right, we'll be taping brand new shows from Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida from June 16th through June 19th! We’ve got some great guests who'll be there too: Jennifer Lopez, Pitbull, Tracy Morgan, and more! You’ll get a first look at the brand new Harry Potter Diagon Alley theme park!

I didn't think they were unhooking it, I assumed they just passed each other!

You all are making it ridiculously overcomplicated. The two trains just pass each other en route. There's no buckling or unbuckling, and I doubt there's any stopping. Both trains are "connected" so they can't move separately.
