Been told by someone who tested it that "most people would find this to be an unwalkable distance" lol

But it *is* technically possible.

EDIT: Missed that tweet reply from Bio... yea, ain't nobody got time for that.

FWIW I did walk to the entrance sign of TL for photos and looked down the road towards Epic. Would not recommend. So if you wanna realllllly walk to Epic, this is the best (and seemingly) only way.

I'm one of those that very often walk to the parks from all of the onsite resorts. We enjoy the beautiful landscaping and tranquil setting. But, I would never even consider walking to Epic from these two hotels. It borders on hideous. Just like I would never walk from Dockside or Surfside to IOA/Studios. I doubt more than a handful of guests will ever do that walk.

I'd argue it's just unsafe too.

The garden walk at UOR is (for the most part) distanced away from the main roads. Orlando is just not pedestrian friendly, especially with all those non-locals on their phone trying to find their way around. As someone who witnessed a pretty awful incident involving a pedestrian, I highly encourage avoiding it entirely. (If you do decide to, please be safe)

They didn't add a walkway on the north side of TL. So to get to Epic, you have to walk to the Universal/Kirkmna intersection, cut through the SN walkway and over to Epic. There is no "shortcut" over.

But hey, how long after Cabana Bay opened was it before they added the raised garden walk pedestrian bridge?

Cabana Bay opened in March and the bridge was open in November. So a few months. I had to double check, but yeah it wasn't too long afterwards.

Edit: Construction for the bridge itself started around Jan/Feb

If there ever does a pedestrian bridge for TL, would we call it the Moon Walk?

I would doubt there will ever be a large enough walker demand to build a CBBR type garden bridge.....3,000 plus CBBR rooms, with a beautiful trail as opposed to half that many rooms with a concrete hot sun walk.

I mean they could also build a lush trail over there! I don’t think they will unless we see some kind of CityWalk south developed (and even then), but it’s florida. i’d imagine it’s harder to keep vegetation away than it is to build it up!

UOR was able to get a bridge over Kirkman, so I think they can get another one here eventually. There was a significant investment made late last year to improve pedestrian safety, so I'm sure as this area develops over the next few years they can find ways to improve walkways and make it safer.

I still think they need to add another one closer to the lobby as folks still run across the street.

The walk from Stella Nova to Epic isn't that bad and it is quiet. With regards to landscaping they've been adding a lot more over the last week or so and it's starting to look lush but it will take some time to grow. It's not so unwalkable that people wouldn't do it.

Now that walk from Terra Luna? No way. It makes the walk from Epic's parking to the gate pleasant in comparison. It's an interesting choice they made designing the walkway the way they did.

Not saying I would ever do that, but... yeah. You gotta meet people where they are (literally) when you can.
