I think they mean when the Wizarding World alone gets so full that they have to have a return time or wait in a long line to get in, not the entire park being at capacity.

A theory on Hogwarts Express (hope this hasn't been discussed yet):

What if the trains are divided into different sections? Let's say that the train has six separate cars. What if the front three cars are for "one-way" passengers and the back three cars are for "round-trip" passengers? The conductor says "Ticket please", then checks the guest's park ticket. 1-Park-per-day guests are corralled in the "round-trip" area, everyone else has the option (most likely "one-way" though). Once at the other station, only the one-way cars are unloaded and reloaded.

EDIT: Oops, Vyrus said the same thing a few posts above, lol.

 Yeap and I've said it before a bunch of pages back, and before that too...its a recurring theme I'm trying to get in peoples heads for some reason

I think the idea of separate cars for different kinds of "travelers" would work best for HE. Having several cars per train, they can also control the balance of one-way vs. round-trip. This is gonna be extremely popular, if not one of the most popular things in the resort. Even doing a round trip would be an amazing, and long, ride in and of itself. Who doesn't like long rides

IoA hit capacity when Hogsmeade officially opened, but I don't think it's been that bad ever since. Hogsmeade hits capacity often during busy seasons, though.

My personal thought when it comes with the train, it will be 4 lengths long....2 trains are rumored to on this...2 cars in each train are single park tickets, 2 cars are dual park tickets...the ones that unload at each side will unload, while the others stay on board for the trip back..plain and simple.

Doesn't it make sense to allocate more cars for what should be a larger amount of park to park passes, though?

Yeah I would do at least 3 cars for park-to-park, 1 car for single park but even then (just assuming) most people have park-to-park and you are cutting down on capacity then unless you just allow them to fill that car up and still get off the ride.

What about having turnstiles at the exit to get into the park? That might create a crowd/line to exit but if you can't get out since you have park-to-park ticket (or just want to see the ride in the other direction) then you just get in line and take the return ride back to your original park.

Not sure what has already been discussed or rumored or mentioned though; the topic is 500+ pages now!

I think the number should be even. I don't think the number of how much is needed is one that will be super different, or predictable with the different factors and individual situations I think about. There will be the two park passed people leaving, the one parked passed people just riding another ride in the park, the two park passed people who don't want to head to IOA yet, but want to ride... Not everyone will be in there because it's Potter. Some guests just want to ride all the rides, see all the shows, etc. and go through the sections of the park one at a time and might not be as concerned with seeing both sides of Potter back to back. Maybe it's just my over-complicating head thinking too much.

Mercy, I look away for 5 seconds and this place goes all Peyton Place. :stunned:

Sometimes the palace intrigue of how some info is obtained is far more fascinating than the actual info leaked. Too, for every leak, there are sometimes 5-10 additional tidbits that can never be leaked... ever!

No offense dude, but you found stuff ridiculous in the Fantasyland expansion too when people expressed their opinions...and again, HTF is giving out FACTS not RUMORS and in the name of website traffic, where this information comes out is very important.

No offense taken, it's also my opinion that other peoples opinions can be ridiculous. It's all opinion. So I don't see why there are so many hard feelings.

I got the "whole" side of the story thanks to some nice PMs. Sorry to cause a speed bump in your typical theme park day. I just like to question stuff I don't completely understand. Posting fake rumors seemed a little much for me..but now that I know the facts, it makes sense. Trying to avoid people from taking stuff that shouldnt be posted online, and then posting it for their own profit/site traffic. Looks like lessons learned on both sides here.

keep up the good work, and sorry for the comotion.

Man am I glad I learned my lesson! I mean posting info that sources have given me dates and times to release. Thinking I can trust people behind the scenes in a controlled group. Saying on several occasions its not my info. But most importantly I'm glad I learned the biggest lesson of all. It's better to get all the facts before coming to conclusions. Oh yeah lesson learned!

Also just FYI their will be signs posted throughout the queue that explains your entering an attraction which will disembark at another park. If you do not have a two park ticket you will have to reenter the queue and ride back. In addition their will also be upgrade centers at each station for those who were stubborn enough to purchase a one day one park ticket. Oh and for those with strollers this train won't be accepted on the Hogwarts Express. Stroller parking is available at each station.

other than completely eliminating the 1 park ticket, this seems to be about the only way it would work.

This clears things up. So, the clusterblast will be once you arrive at each station  Though, this is good so the crowds don't need to be separated, and space wasted if cars are dedicated specifically to one or other type of passenger. It's even a good sales decision. People might be more likely to cave in and buy the 2-park after arriving at the other park, and being too lazy to want to return and all that :P

Yeah but the amount of one day ticket holders is expected to be minimal. Expected being the key word.

I was just thinking, typically the parks close at different times. With the new expansion, does this mean both parks will now have to always close at the same time?

You can close it past a certain time at night.

Or just make it a "round trip" experience after a certain time.

With that being said, I think once Phase II is open IoA will have a nighttime show and both will be open until the same time.
