so this is kinda off topic, but i thought a few of you might find this interesting...

A friend from out of town came to visit this weekend...he said he wanted to visit Potterland. When I explained that Potter land was actually just a part of Islands of Adventure, he was surprised. He thought that it was it's own seperate park. I told him to visit Spiderman/Hulk etc, but he had absolutely no interest.

I spoke to him this morning..they literally just hung out in the Potter area the entire time in the park. Not even interested in the other rides/attractions. Just thought it was funny, and really shows how the "other" people see this. When I told him there was going to be an expansion, he said " they should really make a Gingrotts ride" before I even said anything....so anyway, I think the fans are going to love this expansion when it's completed..and their will definitly be a lot of return customers.

It's kinda advertised like that in the UK. Almost like they say "Universal, IOA and The WWOHP!"

You should do, BPB (if you ignore the idiots) is a pretty fun park! Valhalla is one of the best water rides ever

That's funny! My English class discussed the whole series last week and when I mentioned the park, most knew it was at Universal. All thought it was awesome that they were expanding and adding a Gringotts ride and the HE.

On an interesting note, just like Apple vs. Android in a public school now-a-days, Disney vs. Universal is becoming more of a prominent difference. A lot of teens are beginning to realize what Universal is doing and is capable of and just absolutely love going, I'm talking about a school all the way up here in New York btw! I'm neutral and staying neutral for the benefit of a stupid "fight" I often deal with when pulling my iPhone out in front of someone with a Galaxy! :rofl: :bang:

I only have to imagine that a conversation has occurred to convert Fear Factor to MI6 headquarters (James Bond). It will be outside Diagon alley but blend it perfectly with the waterfront London they are trying to sell. No doubt Skyfall's performance has got Universal excited. I only wonder if they'd go the stunt show route or develop it into a ride...

On that note, perhaps a re-theme of Disaster to the London tube waayy down the line? Far more pressing things but it would create a really well-themed corner of the park.

I actually like that idea a lot. 007 deserves a spot in theme park world. And i think it would be best if it was in Universal because they certainly know how to get stuff done.

No, That would be a BAD move considering the attacks on the London tube on 7/7/05.... That would be in such bad taste and I doubt any Brit would ride it.

So that explains all the British people flooding into guest services at IOA back when the WWoHP opened complaining,that they were scammed into buying extra tickets just to get in to WWoHP :thumbs: It seems there were quite a few scammers working the hotels that summer.

I have a Samsung Galaxy Note. It's pretty awesome. Most of the apps that you have to pay for on the iPhone are free on android.
