It is a great area and the worker dancing outside of Krusty Burger to "Do The Bartman" is a legend!

I can agree with what OF says, it's a nice expansion, but it's nothing that's selling a lot of tickets. What it is doing, is growing the brand, and unlike Disney they didn't make an announcement for something that's just going to enhance the overall day experience. I view it as a win for that reason more than anything else, it grew the brand, but Universal was humble about it.

I agree. I'm not really a great fan of tacos, but theirs were very good...The Flaming Moes tasted a lot like the old time phosphate sodas that they used to serve at the drug store soda sections when they had them. It was a nice effect, but a little too expensive to try more than once. Duff's Beer was decent and my girlfriend loved the chicken waffle sandwich. The area on the whole had a terrific ambiance and seemed full of kinetic energy. We also really liked the Kang & Kodas dialogue that permeated the airwaves. And it seemed like the area was packed with people constantly. I think that Universal has a real hit on their hands with Springfield. It improves the park greatly and probably didn't cost a ton of money. Also, loved sitting at the bar next to the phone. Twice, it rang and I picked it up. The one message was give me your lunch money or I'll beat you up, or something along those lines. A few times I picked it up without a ringing and there wasn't any message, but a sound that was exactly like the sound of the dry ice melting at the bottom of the Flaming Moe glass.

The bartender controls when the phone rings. My daughter was sitting next to it and curious about the phone and the bartender rang it for her, then a couple minutes later she said again and the bartender did it again for her. She had no clue he was controlling it, she just likes phones (she is 2 1/2 )

I love the Simpsons Springfield. I was there about a month ago and was planning on going last week unfortunately my girlfriend broke her leg and plans were canceled. She did make a joke about saying that we can still go and I can push her in a wheelchair and have free express passes on all the rides, I had to inform her that people only do that over at disney :). We'll we were there for my birthday and it was awesome I received my birthday pin and over at lard lad donuts I purchased two big pink donuts and went to pay and noticed that they only charged me for one when I went to inform them all they said was have a happy birthday. I think that made the donut taste even better.

I tried the Korean beef tacos last weekend and I wasnt a fan of the flavor, a little too sweet for me.

I too tried the Korean beef tacos recently, and found them too sweet. With that said, the line for the taco truck was ridiculously long. I waited almost 20 mins by the time I received my order. Springfield is a money-making machine. Everywhere I looked people were buying food. I lost count the amount of people walking around with Duffs and Flaming Moes.

The meat pizza is awesome. Didn't taste like a theme park pizza at all. I also tried the full platter country dinner with fried chicken mashed potatoes and corn while it was good it wasn't better than the dinner type meals you get in IoA at WWOHP or JP. I have to agree that while a VERY nice area in scenery the area lacks a major attraction as I (personally) don't see the Simpsons ride as a major attraction to this area and i feel that this side of the park needs an attractive ride due to the increasing lack of interest in older rides and areas such as MiB E.T and Terminator not to mention Kidzone.

If a new Simpsons ride does come, I really hope it's a dark ride! Also I find it funny that I was just saying a few days ago that I really wished they would consider putting in more Springfield land and new ride! Land between MIB and Simpsons? Power Plant ride??? lol

I really want a power plant dark ride but that is not happening according to hate + uni would have beg the voice actor who plays mr burns, and a lot more because he didn't want to do it they already have to deal with jk creative probably does not want to deal with difficult people anymore other than jk. wish he would have thought about the fans first before he decided not to lend his voice but that is rare these days.

I just want to point out if anything else comes it will be upgrades to current facilities, expanded menu options, additional food carts or stands, more props, and more merch. No new ride is even on the radar for this IP. Best we can expect is a 4KHD upgrade to ride film and projectors. But that's pushing it...

It would be great if the Simpsons Ride could get some upgrades, as I'd say it pales in comparison to the rest of the area now.

No exact time table on this but the Simpsons will be upgrading its projectors. Ultra High Definition is coming to the Simpsons ride along with a few other small additions around Springfield. My guess would be after HHN or after Xmas rush in order to install and clean a few things up.
