I originally thought the same thing, but it seems like this project is very much a secret and normally that means they are in negotiations with an outside IP. Also, if it was anything coming in the future, they would not be looking to start this project first instead of JP. They would have the idea ready to go if the movie was a success. But no way they start building something before the movie is released and proven as a solid IP.

Yeah you are right, just a thought. If they have a movie coming out for a existing ip they might as well keep it around to see if it does well COUGH Popeye COUGH obviously if uni is pushing towards this before JP they found a red hot IP they are begging to use immendetly. I'm super excited

Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs may have been good for what it was, but it doesn't have the same weight as Shrek, Transformers, etc. I'd be surprised to see that have any theme park presence at all.

Yeah I think fox bought those IP's for their movie world so we aren't gonna see those. Think timeless IPs for the family to enjoy guys

YES! Scooby, Flintstones, Jetsons, and Looney Tunes for the Barney/Curious George/Fievel/Nuthouse area. I still don't know what they'd do with E.T. and Animal Actors though

We have New York, San Fransisco, Hollywood, London and Springfield, these are all urban landscapes (granted the last one is fictional, but that matters little), this makes me think that the best possible replacement for kidzone would also be something that can have an urban connection.

As much as I'd love Hannah barbera since I am a nut for it, the amount of money it would be to get all those shows back to uni would be ridiculous and tedious. That and the fact that the studio of barbera is basically dead. Shame too because I would love a scooby haunted house ride and a wacky races ride. I'm pretty sure ET is staying and animal actors will get a BJ style revamp. I doubt urban areas but a Tokyo would be insane. Could you imagine all those lights at night with a gojira ride? A boy can dream

Tokyo area would in my guess take over World Expo and the expand in the mystery plot.
For kidzone I think they should do an suburban area, it just struck me that if ET stays, that its setting is perfect, a suburban setting by the woods; the city parts allow for a good transition between Hollywood on the one side and the Simpsons on the other side, and the forest area behind allows for there to be a 'fantasy' element. Also, the forest area would be ideal to build a playground similar to the one in Camp Jurassic.

I honestly want just a land with different rides like kidzone, no real overall theme just cool rides back to back. That way if a IP gets stale just replace it with another one no worries that it wouldn't match a theme, production central syndrome

I think this would be a good move, it's up there with a Spider-man ride: doesn't matter which 'version', as long as it works for the character(s). But unfortunately I haven't heard anything about TMNT, but again, what *I'VE* heard.

To be fair, we haven't really heard anything solid at this point.

I think TMNT would be a good piece of the puzzle, but would need some more things around it.
