Nintendo Coming to Universal Parks

Now that Mario, Pokemon, Zelda and possibly Donkey Kong seem to be getting areas no matter what at this point, what are the chances of some other Nintendo series getting some areas/representation too? Like a Kirby play area/flat ride area, an Animal Crossing rest area with some shaded seating and a Roost cafe, or anything Starfox/Metroid/etc related?

Pokémon isn't getting an area.

I think at best Pokémon gets it's own store, disappointing but it doesn't scream ride and/or land.

I think a store will be the extent of it.

Pokémon could make a decent ride (Pokémon Snap-like), but it would require a lot of room Uni doesn't have

has anyone brought up the idea that Link doesn't speak? I guess if there is a "Zelda" ride, you would be link? I just don't know how it would really work. I can't wait to see concept art for this new project. I think it could look really amazing.

I could see the ride being something similar to Indiana Jones Adventure. You only see Indy a few times on the ride anyway, and he only speaks once. I figure they'd have the ride be in a dungeon and do the same thing with Link, except he doesn't speak. Then again, if it's going to be more of a family ride, something like POTC with Jack Sparrow could work.

Ah... that's a shame. Although I'd be up for a store, if it's filled with good merch and is themed like a Pokecenter. I kinda hope for a more generic "Nintendo" area anyway, that way we can have shops/references to other series. Maybe this is where Animal Crossing could be too?

He grunts, and shouts, and yells. I could see some things possibly change if they start to with the upcoming Zelda game but possibly, we could just see Zelda and Ganon speak

How realistically can we actually expect this for 2018? I am only wondering, because there will already be a lot of other construction taking place, on the other hand other construction projects will be finished next year. But then , Universal can afford it and it seems they are not shy from spending money. Also, will the whole Nintendoland be build, or will they do it in phases?

Yeah, that will be interesting. With Disaster, BJ Theater and Twister all shutting down at the same time, that's a lot of construction fences and lost capacity. But, then again, they added a ton of capacity with Diagon/Transformers/Springfield. It's got to be a tough decision.

Realistically, the things closing for Nintendo don't add much capacity. Barney, Curious George, Fievel, and Woody are just...there.

Animal Actors, if I had to guess, could survive until later until Fallon is ready to open, at least.

Its somewhat the rumor right now and it would make sense. It all just matters on when the Kidzone attractions go down.

That's the rumor. It'd surprise me, if only because the Nintendo work is crazy detailed, but would be great

Fast and Furious being scheduled for 2017 makes me think that Nintendo is coming in 2018. I guess it would be either that or more Marvel, but I think they could hold off on an Avengers ride for a year since Infinity War Part 2 releases in 2019. Also, 2018 will more likely be closer to the NX release date (2017 seems pretty likely to me for the new hardware).
