Curious to ask, what would the general thougt be if ET meets its final farewell? It seems likely of it staying, but it is a rather large piece of land to work with, if ET departs.

Take in mind that i'm NO insider, but it'd possibly make sense to see ET go in the next 8 to 10 years.

I think that, no matter when it goes, some people will be shocked and saddened. I ain't one of them.

I wouldn't be shocked either nor saddened. It would be interesting to hear the reaction, especially considering it being the last true original attraction that was at USF for when the park opened.

But, time will tell.

I would be saddened. It's always the first attraction we ride when we start our vacation, and the last we ride when as we end our vacation. Can't really pin it down, but the combination of the fantastic queue with Bottanicus and those redwoods, the intoxicating yet soothing scent of the queue, and the whimsical nature of the ride make it our most fulfilling attraction. It's certainly not one of the best five or even best ten attractions at Universal, but it's the ride that puts the biggest smile on our faces. That's important since theme parks need to be fun, and ET is fun to us :)....My first visit to Universal wasn't until 2004, so the nostalgia factor of it being an original ride doesn't factor into my love of the attraction.

If they removed ET, I would be madder than a Disney fanboy who heard they were going to overlay Guardians Of The Galaxy on Tower Of Terror.

Go mess with Fear Factor.

If E.T. were removed, I'd be incredibly upset, not only because the movie is a stone cold classic which means a great deal to me, but also because it's one of the few remnants of the opening day lineup left in operation. That first generation of Universal Studios Florida was as magical as Disney's parks for me, and I would hate to see basically the last of those amazing, world-class attractions wiped away.

Yeah if the ride closes I would understand it since it's old and might cost more than its worth to get it up to date, but it would still suck seeing it go. Especially if it goes anytime soon while everything else is under construction. There's nothing else quite like it at the park.

I'd take a massive Nintendoland for Kidzone going (including ET [Sorry]) in a heartbeat.

If it happens, it will be for a good reason, and I don't think anyone would be too choked up with the final product

Well, it sure sounds like you know what's happening to ET now.

I know it'd be for the best, but that doesn't mean I'd still be a little disappointed about losing ET. Nostalgia is a hell of a thing.

I don't blame you. Kong was the first to go, and it was by far my favorite. After that, I kind of realized with the limited space they have nothing is sacred. It stinks, but it's the price we pay for new rides
