If they don't want to do a flyer with Manta down the road they could possibly go for a B&M Wing coaster....that could look quite menacing.

Pretty please may I have some more Dinosaurs. The Spinosaurus looks awesome. It would be great to see more of these trickled through the island to make it truly feel like Jurassic park. Also I would love the area in front of the Visitor's center to be used more. I always hang out there for a nice shot of the Lagoon/park and would love to see that area get some love soon. Thanks for posting the Vid Gambit!!!!

Just playing devil's advocate here, but would Orlando even have enough space on the walkways to allow walking dinosaurs? Getting past the raptor encounter is bad enough.

Raptor Encounter only took up a small portion of the old Triceratops Encounter. The rest of that land could be used for an AA dinosaur that looked out onto the path. I don't think anyone suggested a walking one in the path as all of those that I have seen look a lot better in an exhibit (ie. Raptor Encounter at USF and USJ).

What is this?! Since when is this a thing, and why does Japan have it before we do (if this ever makes its way here at all)? I mean, aside from the fact that there is a ludicrous number of projects currently being worked on at UOR... but this should take precedence because I want it to lol

Sorry to dredge up an old thread but I was bored and was thinking of what they could do to expand JP if they don't decide to move it to 3rd gate. My idea reworks the entire side near potter and adds 3 attractions while also solving some of my gripes with that side of the land. My main gripe is how you can see the FJ show building and hogwarts from within the land. So moving top to bottom on my picutre would be to move the JP arch and combine where the two bridges enter into the land. I HATE how if you want to take a pic of the arch you have hogwarts right behind it. This also moves the path further away from FJ giving room for the first ride an amber mine family coaster. The yellow show building would be a large cavern blocking FJ from view and housing the inside show elements of the ride. The ride then goes outside though the foliage and down to the water. You then rebuild a larger Discovery center with the JW aesthetic. The red section on the water would be seating for a night time lagoon show. Inside the Discovery center have updated exhibits, food and also the entrance to a trackless gyrosphere ride that takes place in the show building connected to it to the south over the old triceratops plot. Discovery center being bigger and having an easier way to move though it since there will be way more traffic with a ride inside. Last building over where pizza predatoria would be a walk though dino exhibit with top notch dino AAs thinking of those Creature AA's from the JW touring exhibit. This takes what is either dead or very underutilized space and reinvigorates it.

Just found this gem of a thread, not to be playing catchup, but is that flying dinosaur rollercoaster actually in/coming to Universal ORL? It looks sick!

As far as i'm aware; no rumors have been circulating of UOR getting a clone (or anything close to it) of The Flying Dinosaur.

There has been a rumor for quite some time that USH and UOR may possibly receive extensive refurbishment of the River Adventures to match the theme of the 2015 film; but who knows at this point.

I would be very much in favor of a lot of what you propose here. Unfortunately, it doesn't appear that plussing JP (in any meaningful way) is a priority for Universal Orlando, despite the insane box office of JURASSIC WORLD last year.

On the coaster, I would make it an aquatrax and then recreate the river scene in Jurassic World. Might have to work a little to not imitate the JPRA but I think that it could be a cool addition.

if only they had raptor encounter be an alien-encounter type ride instead of having the space used as a photo-op.

;)

...There's a river scene in Jurassic World? I think you are mistaken, thinking more of the novelization of Jurassic Park (as that was the inspiration for River Adventure actually).

There is a short scene where you see people kayaking down a river I believe.

Kayaking down the river with Dinosaurs. To quote Dr. Grant Seeker, "What could possibly go wrong?"

Just FYI, but there is a small section of construction walls up to the left of Camp Jurassic entrance (at tail end of the old Triceratops Trail lot). And I heard drilling/electric tool noises coming from behind Raptor Encounter last night. Don't know what might be going on but thought it was worth noting.

Also, some new JP keychains are available at the giftshop and one of them features a baby triceratops and says "Jurassic Park Petting Zoo" on it. The image looks like the small puppet/animatronic they carry around so probably just based on that.

I'm not saying they are building a version of the "Gentle Giants Petting Zoo" in the back half of the old Trike Encounter plot... but damn that would be awesome.
