Much agreed, appears much more realistic.

Yep, we rode it at night one time too and it was much better. The bad stuff is just a lot more noticeable during the day.

Now I am going to make a point of riding it at night whenever possible.

I am so easy to please at Uni. I never see the bad that everyone talks about. I think the dinos look OK. Yeah, could be better, but the fact that they are not too real probably keeps the little kids from freaking out to much'

Last time I was on the ride one of the raptors looked like it had a broken neck.

Plus a good scare is good for a growing child :)

Not something too bad that would leave them scarred for life though.

I noticed that as well, but that's the kind of thing they actually do fix during the yearly refurbishment. It looks like the hydraulic or pneumatic system that supports and moves the head got punctured and all the fluid/air came out.

I still think newer more advanced AAs are in order. The skin on some of them needs improvement too. Just look at the Dinosaurs made by CTC.

You can say that again...

And (I can't believe I'm saying this) higher definition and a few more screens would really make this ride great. A few examples:
1. fix the audio and definition of the security monitor as you enter the building
2. Add a screen where the loud roar and three clawed scratch is. On the screen would be a hallway going away form the boat with a crossing hallway. We would be able to see the dinosaur run into position ahead of us as we round that corner if you looked hard enough.

I am on a soundtrack geek out lately. Please forgive me.

The original conducts the original:

That's half the reason I really don't like this ride. This soundtrack is a masterpiece - probably the best movie score I've ever seen. And I firmly don't think it's used to its fullest effect in the ride

The wife one year surprised me with a trip to San Diego to see John Williams conduct. The set list was left wanting to say the least. When he was finished with his last song, which was the theme to Lincoln, he turned to the crowd with a smile and went right into the Raiders March. I couldn't control it and I squealed so loud it made the people around me laugh and the other audience members joined in. Finished it up with Jurassic Park, Star Wars and Imperial March. His music is all over these parks and I hope he keeps doing it for years.

Saw him conduct the Boston Pops for July 4th long ago. A show I will never forget.

His music for '1941' was 100x better than the actual movie :)

Not to continue the derail in too egregious a way, but I was lucky enough to attend John Williams' concert in Milwaukee back in 2014, and it was an absolutely spectacular night. Fantastic mix of his biggest hits and some under-appreciated deeper cuts (THE COWBOYS was a particular highlight). He came back for three encores, as well (including the "The Imperial March"). His little anecdotes introducing the pieces were quite charming, and the amount of energy required from a then-82 year-old man to conduct an orchestra for two hours was very impressive. Williams' music means an incredible amount to me, so it was an extremely memorable experience.

It was on the Esplanade outdoors overlooking the Charles River/Boston Harbor. It finished with the 1812 Overture. National Guard artillery batteries were used in time with the piece, fire boats sprayed water, church bells across the city went off in time with it and tons of fireworks.

Allow me to put my armchair creative cap on and pitch an idea to Uni.
