Someone on one of the FB groups noted an unusual change to the description text. They replaced "shows" with "creatures".

So I guess if we hypothetically assume this to be a correct slip up than the two interesting take aways are the event starting on a Wednesday and perhaps a second show hasn't been locked down yet?

If that person really searched that deep into the site, then it may be a page that was never updated. There's ways to still get to the event page for the Princess and Pirates party on the WDW website.

Some comments have pointed out that these dates are similar to a past year. Let's wait and see...

I believe she said it came up on the planning site while she was planning a trip. That actually could be part of it I guess. It could be they have to have dates there for the planning site to recognize the event.

Reply from Taylor;

"I think it's possible it could be either. It does fit the rumor of a lot more nights, but it ending on a Thursday is super odd."

I wouldn't read too much into it

CatCatCat usually is pretty solid on his comments & info. I'm leaning towards his comment that it's an old page floating around on the site.

Taylor wasn't actually the one who found it. It was someone on the FB community page that OI runs. The starting on a Wednesday and ending on a Thursday makes me think this is simply an old page.

Not that it matters too much, but one great thing about the internet is that it's constantly archived, so you can look back at previous version of websites. The Universal planner website sat relatively unchanged for the past 4 years, and was only recently updated with a new skin and some new content, but they did not update the description for Halloween Horror Nights. Human error, what can you do.

Here are screenshots of the page from 2013-2016:

EDIT: whoever decided to make imgur albums post as an embedded media element on this forum, shame on you. here are individual links to the images instead.

And here, you too can see how the page (hasn't) changed over the past four years:

Not sure what you are linking, I don't see anything that would confirm or deny?

Those are past versions of the site since 2013, which shows that it's content hasn't significantly changed since then.

As Ronald Reagan always said, "trust but verify."

Right. I kind of feel like an entity as big as Orlando Informer should do some very simple, very quick (literally less than 10 minutes) research into things like this before blasting it out with a "BREAKING NEWS" headline to their 30,000+ followers and causing a stir. But whatever.

"When you ain't first, you're last."

To give them credit - they did say "Hey, this may not be an actual thing because it's no where else" but I agree in the grand scheme of things. I did think it was funnier when other sites started posting "WE HAVE DATES" articles without A. Checking themselves B. At least acknowledging OI had the scoop first - but that's a discussion for a whole different matter.

Either way - dates debunked. Should find out soon I'd imagine.
