That sort of leads to my point though.

Just like how TDLR is looked at as the highest quality Disney Resort, it is so because there's an outside company running it, as was the case before Comcast took over USJ.

My point is, while this is a great show, I need to see something from them stateside before I go getting my hopes up with Uni's Entertainment department (outside of special events).

I guess my thing is Universal Creative has the ability to do even better projects outside UOR and hopefully instead of them just being overseas because Goldman Sachs was footing most the bill now we will see it in the states as well.

I'm with you. There are so many opportunities for Uni to up their game when it comes to entertainment.

For example: Complete overhaul of their Holiday offerings, Much better nighttime show, Nighttime parade, Some sort of show at IOA (potentially the rumored Potter one), Continually updating/adding to the Superstar Parade, etc, etc.

We already know that Volcano Bay will have a small nightly show, so that's good. It needs to be spread throughout the whole resort though.

I can't find where the new UC patents were posted, so I'm just gonna post this here. It's a model of the Boom Coaster patent by Coaster101.

How would they hide the track on the wall or have it blend in?

I don't know if this is still going around but... after seeing Fantastic Beasts for the second time yesterday, if the movie/series was going to be in the 3rd park, then is there any way that the Hogwarts Express train could also take visitors to the subway station which we see near the end?

You could use a brush entry system like this:

My concern with a system like this would be that it would generate a lot of friction but this is only a problem if it's a traditional coaster type track relying on gravity and not self powered.

I'd say it's highly unlikely as the 3rd park will be about 3 miles away from the current resort.

Would we really need the wall next to us that hides the boom during the ride? It'll probably be dark enough to hide it and most guests aren't going to look over the side. I could see it only needed in the load station.

It's always going to be in front of you as well running parallel.

If it's needed like that they would probably put a wall on the other side too. Make it feel more like a mine shaft.

Things are pointing to Oz again. Pure speculation but it seems NBCUniversal is hitting the gaps they missed owned by Disney (Return to Oz characters etc) and owned by other elements through certain means.

I also expect something completely unexpected that no one would have thought they would do. Like the motion simulator based dining experience concept that was introduced at CES a few days ago.

The loading platform for handicap guests doesn't have a moving walkway (understandably). Instead the vehicle just arrives. A slit in the back wall is where the kuka arm is going trough but it's black and the thing is invisible for the guests.

Sony has planned and is in the works of selling off their film and television departments. Comcast is in the rumbles to pick up the movie division at least so we can potentially add Sony films for the upcoming park.

I'm not thinking that Comcast will end up picking it up. CBS seems to be hellbent on getting a film division (from what little I've read). Plus, there's always foreign investors.

Personally, I think the ATT + Time Warner merger will have to fully go through before any more media buyouts happen.

CBS had a film division in Paramount and then spun it out into Viacom. CBS really needs to figure out what it wants to do and figure it out fast. They're the most stubborn of the big 4 and it's going to backfire on them sooner than later.

I read in some business news where the writer thinks that Verizon will buy Comcast...I can't see that happening, but I just didn't think that Verizon is that much bigger than Comcast and I just don't think Comcast would want to sell but would rather be a buyer...

What would this mean for Spider-Man film rights?

They potentially could go back to Marvel, it all depends on the contract

Doubtful the regulators would let that deal go through. Way too monopolistic.

I'm positive that there won't be a major media buy until ATT and Time Warner is formally allowed. That will set the precedent to allow basically anybody in the media space to merge.

It's only a matter of time. The new DOJ and FCC isn't going to stand in the way.
