As Bri said, this pool is still closed off.

The volcano walk thru looks great, but there is a wall up in two sections.

Seeeoo... where is this yappin tiki named Vol located?

On another note, I have been rewatching videos of the fearless river and see no reason they couldn't make the area under the slides a covered tunnel. It's just too much guts and service pipes right now. I wonder what it would take to engineer such an idea, even if they only did 60% of it?

Only reason I can think of is safety. Lifeguards need to be able to see guests in that section and a cover could result in a blind spot.

Just read on Twitter that Volcano Bay changed their closing hours next week...sounds as though the volcano light display is not yet ready for primetime:

#VolcanoBay hours have changed (again) the 9pm & 10pm close times next weekend have switched to 8pm.

Yeah, I thought of that and assumed that lifeguard areas could be engineered into the structure.

Did anyone else seen that in Tim Trackers video that although the pool that is missing the waterfall is closed off, there was a lifeguard sitting on the side just staring at all the empty water. It just seemed so North Korea...

Yeah - of a magic band falls off no one can use it for anything (not even opening a locker) short of trying every room at a resort. A CM scoops it up and it goes to lost/found.

A tapu falls off and your wallet is in the locker and you're SOL.

You know there's a difference with being an ass, and contributing your opinion to the discussion. I don't think I've seen one thing really contributed by you (nevertheless seeing anything really positive) since you've posted. You complain they shouldn't have rushed and opened it. Now you mock them for pushing back night hours and trying to make sure they get the night atmosphere right... so what's it gonna be?

Brian - as a consumer what compels you to defend a company which is charging a higher rate than their competition for an inferior and unfinished product to the point of patronizing others who don't support it?

If your wallet is in your locker, a locker attendant will open it up and will verify your ID.

Because they have a backup system doesn't mean losing them because they fall off and having that problem should be the norm.

They're not well designed.

I'm not patronizing anyone who feels that way. I'm patronizing someone coming to a discussion board and being an ass. I disagree with a lot of what you say, but I'm not getting on your case because you're offering your POV.

I don't think he's being an ass.

I think there's been many similar instances lately as universal (and SeaWorld - that thing is San Diego is indefensibly bad) has bumbled out a poor product and anyone who doesn't tiptoe on eggshells to not hurt the company's feeling is labeled as an ass.

I think some introspection as to why it upsets yourself and the other mods is in order.

"LOL" adds nothing to the discussion. Thumbsing every single negative post in the thread comes off as obsessive and trolling. Saying nothing much constructive is also useless.

I know you have issues with authority as you've stated yourself, but this isn't about defending Universal or Disney or what have you, it's maintaining the air of discussion. At least you back up your points with discussion matter, some don't and are seemingly just fueling a toxic atmosphere.

Well, I certainly thought "lol" as well to the news, I just didn't type it out.

I probably would have posted Michael Jackson eating popcorn from Thriller or the popcorn emoticon.

Of course you wouldn't.

When we get PMs and emails from a lot of other members, and of course them posting their feelings on the forums about it, that they are tired of seeing the same thing over.... and over... and over... with offering nothing constructive to the discussion then the mods are going to step in and try to right the ship.

As I stated, there are other people besides Latveria who feel the same way, and we are not contacting them because they are carrying a conversation.

Either way, I have addressed what needed to be addressed. Time to move on.

Brian has a point. If its LOL, followed by a comment, then I'd understand it. Sometimes letting comments go is the best thing to do.

I do think it's kinda humores how nearly the whole hype of this new park was the nighttime atmosphere and they can't even deliver on that....yet.
