Why Godzilla is not in the parks yet is a mystery to me

Perfect attraction for the 3rd gate.

TBH, the only way I can see Godzilla is if it's a expanded version of the SDCC Godzilla Experience that was at San Diego in 2013. And that the attraction would play a card between that and Nemesis: Sub Terra from Alton Towers.

Edit: a good idea would be some sort of Tokyo area with Sanrio and Dragonball or even something like Yokai Watch to add diversity with Godzilla.

As far as T2s replacement goes, I don't expect anything major to change, and that's unfortunate.

Move all Godzilla in the 3rd dry park or in the parks to the 4th Park Blue Sky thread. People are coming to this thread lookin for news and discussion on T2 replacement.

Universal states multiple times the replacement is gonna be based on its own action franchise. Pitch Perfect is not an action franchise, it's a comedy-musical one. However, I don't know any other action franchise Universal have, probably Jason Bourne or something.

Either way, what should be reminded of, is the fact that Pacific Rim is dealing with the mecha genre. Truthfully, they wouldn't need to be expanding the armory currently from T2.

The only two IPs that have that (which have been rumored for the replacement) is Bourne, or the 007 series.

Sincerely, those should be what is most likely. Not Pitch Perfect, not Pacific Rim, not Jurassic Park, and not Sing. It's one of those two, and considering the odds of Annapurna making the next Bond film and not Universal, it's most likely going to be Bourne.

Which bothers me a bit. The Bourne series are starting to get stale and the last one didn't do so great. Is UC really gonna captilize on a franchise that is gonna stale very soon? If anything , Universal really needs more its own franchises for its films since F&F isn't gonna be around any longer too.

The walking dead would be a great attraction actually. But, I would like a ride. You'll have zombies in Hollywood and mummies in New York. Also, aliens at the other end of the park. What else do you want in life? lol
