I'm shocked we didn't even get the original zones. One extra announcement coming up I guess, unless they're doing what they did in 2017 and having all at once.

Well I mean it's actually great to get across the ticket sale barrier now, I love the new logo, neon blue and it's really cool, 80s theme last year was killer indeed, I'd love to see how this year will make the originals and scarezones stand out.

Either they are cashing in on last year's 80s theme for as a last minute thing or this was going to be the plan the whole time, but I honestly feel like the first is probably the reason, I mean when you have Stranger Things and Ghostbusters, you know that they might be trying to stick to the years those two ips fall in.

Stranger Things takes place in 1983, Poltergeist was 1982 both made their presence as houses last year, this year, Season 2 of Stranger Things takes place 1984 and the third 1985, Ghostbusters came out in 1984, and we will probably only have the original first film unless they go all out have the second film which didn't come out till 1989. So if I'm being nerdish but I'm thinking they are trying to go by certain ips that mesh together well.

For how the rest of the IPs:
- Corpses is heavily based off TCM and 70s/80s grindhouse films
- Klowns was released in 1988
- Monsters doesn’t connect at all unless a scene in the house is from the 80s

Honestly I’m surprised they even tried connecting everything with a theme. Last year’s was easier to connect the dots outside of Scary Tales

Corpses takes place in 1977, which is pretty close.

Honestly when you look at it, at least we got a theme, some people love it, some people have their issues with it but nevertheless, at least we have a theme, now that we can focus back on the houses and zones and that show which I'm hoping it's Beetlejuice because that would be awesome, I do hope everything goes according to plan. I wonder if they'll pull off what they did last year and save one announcement for a Q&A session with the A&D crew and showing us what merch is coming and talking about the details like they did last year. I'm very sorry, I don't know how to not triple post, I'm trying not to, I'm at work and I'm using my phone, so it's difficult XD again I apologize.

Use edit, and if there is something you have to quote, use the quote feature, and add the quote to your edited comment.

EDIT: So about that logo.... 80s theme again? I wonder if the theme would be like a campy cheesy horror movie like Slaughter Cinema?

I grew up in the 80's and love that era. I definitely wouldn't mind this theme for several years. Bring on the 90's next!

They have confirmed the 80s aesthetic is coming back.

There is certainly more diversity...I expect them to break it next year with it being an anniversary year, but who knows

Honestly, I think they're just flowing into 30 basically, and the easiest way to do that "theme" wise is to just repeat.

Stranger Things, Ghostbusters, and KKFOS? I can see why they would do 80s again and that it was a cool theme last year, but what about UCM and HOTC?

The theme don't matter that much. That's the extent of it.
