Yeti gonna go full Tony Montana and the end shooting a machine gun at cartel.

Almost everything in Trick R Treat aside from a cell phone could easily have taken place in the 80s. It has a very timless feeling.

The school bus segment takes place in the late 70's/early 80's.

A hint, eh?

I'm not sure if he realizes it or not, but he already dropped a clue.

Well when you think about it the best way to follow up an 80s year is to do what most horror movies did/do, make a sequel to it

Edit - Hopefully in 10 years 90s nostalgia will kick in and well get Scream, H20, and whatever other IPs take place in that timeframe

I don’t remember there ever being a Tooth Fairy in another attraction though, maybe Potter? Either way that got me more excited for the house since I feel like it’s gonna be the most creepy

Yeah that is what gives me pause. I even did the all distinguished tactic of searching “Tooth Fairy 1920 Maine” and nothing popped up.

I looked it up and Darkness Falls is set in Maine, but it’s Tooth Fairy is from the 1800s. Wonder if it’s even a clue

Putting stuff in the prop shop feels like an organic progression of that idea.

The originals last year definitely weren't really 80s (Aside from the VHS vibe in the announcement videos). Aside from Depths of Fear (Which is inspired by 80s Films) I wouldn't expect Yeti, Graveyard, or Tooth Fairy to take place in the 80s.

One was, and they could've easily made four of them (last year, I mean) '80s-themed:
