I will say people do underestimate the binging powerhouse that is The Office a bit

The free advertising-supported tier of Peacock will have limited content as compared with the $5 and $10 versions, two of the people said. The free version will likely not include the full series of “The Office,” for which NBC paid $500 million, one of the people said.
Now you see me yessssComcast's Peacock Streaming Service Will Add Lionsgate Content - Cord Cutters News
Finally, at least some good news. After HBO Max does the same for South Park and Studio Ghibli, I figure Comcast/NBCU is taking the same route. Lionsgate may not be as popular as the former two, but at least there's some good content to be made.
Now you see me yessss
also hunger games is a plus
John wick, twilight and divergent are pretty sucessful franchises tooAnd Madmen and Ash vs Evil Dead as well.
How is this possible when Lionsgate just signed a 2020 contract for their content to go to Hulu lol
I feel Peacock could be extremely successful if they invest in an Indie film company like A24 or something and also have their films. Between having Peele films, Blumhouse, Classic Monster films, and Ari Aster films, Peacock would be the streaming home for all horror film fans.
Also, A24 has very strong lineup when it comes to their film catalog, would diversify their offerings a bit. I think planning to have this be available for young millennials/GenZ viewers will be huge
they already have a deal with Amazon which the fact people didnt realize A24 had a deal with prime shows how low the demand is for their movies. Also just want to point out the most profitable indie film company this year was Neon.
You know what I think? NBCUniversal should start investing in adult-animated shows/movies because many other streaming services like Disney-owned Hulu, Netflix, and HBO Max are developing them too which would certainly grab the audiences by the tens of thousands. They need a few more appealing content than just live-action sitcoms like Brooklyn 99 and Superstore.
I fully expect ESPN+ to be woven into Disney+ down the line. Especially if what you’re saying happens. You think Disney won’t act if they find out consumers are choosing a different service over them because of its all in one nature? It’s an endless game that is being played by everyone.Funny thing came out today which were both the most watch broadcast programming and most watched cable networks both which proved that theory wrong. Adult animation is popular but its popular within its niche fans. Additionally want to point out USA was the most watched fictional channel whereas NBC was still the most watched network in total viewers. Additionally Bravo was the 2nd most watched channel by those 18-49 which last time i checked does not have any animation whatsoever and is famous for all those Housewives shows.
The most watched programs still remain News and Sports which Peacock will have. Which is why it will do well compared to all the Disney services (you have to buy ESPN to get sports in addition to Hulu and Disney+), and HBO Max which was tainted by CNN which ranked low on the ranking.

One thing about the internet is people are really vocal and lots of forums skew under 35, cisgendered, straight, male, caucasian, which creates an echo for whats popular when it actually may not be the most popular thing out there.
