basically lines up with my thoughts on the article. are disney and universal theme parks expensive? absolutely. are they overpriced? i'm less certain. disney (and universal!) believe they're providing good value for their high admission. i still haven't seen any real sign that customers disagree with that, despite reading the same style of anecdotes for more than a decade.
that said, the middle class, such as it is, is getting priced out of more and more out-of-home activities. we're not going to consumer our way out of that problem. we're going to need to do something about the growing wealth gap if we're actually gonna take any of this stuff seriously.
