As much as I hate the idea of where they placed Frozen, it did start something new with Epcot. Which is building something without outside funding. This is a first for Disney and Epcot. I wouldn't be surprised if we don't see more of this in the coming years. After Studios is fixed, Epcot is going to stick out like a sore thumb and Disney will have to do something. Events is the only thing keeping this park alive, which is why it is no surprise that the events keep getting longer and longer. But at some point if you make them too long they lose something. Frozen will be a huge bump to Epcot, but will just point out the weaknesses in this park which is not much good things to do. Once that dies down, the numbers will go down and that is when I see Disney not waiting for sponsorship to do something to fix this park.
I think the other innovations closing was a product of losing sponsorship. I was talking to a guy who worked for the one company who sponsored one of those things. He said his company was pulling out when their contract was up. The company didn't see a benefit for it anymore. I wasn't sure when the contract was up, but he made it sound like soon because he talked about no longer getting his paid trips to Orlando to make sure everything was still good with the exhibit.
