I hear ya, but it's objectively not nothing. It is something. Obviously y'all are welcome to care as much or as little about the Rivers of America, Tom Sawyer's Island, etc., but those things existed and people enjoyed them.

I agree that we've plowed this ground as much as it can be productively plowed — we all feel how we feel about this change and, aside from processing those feelings, there's only so much to talk about. We'll see how the new attractions are, obviously, but I'm sure for some it doesn't matter how great they are — they'll still primarily think about what was lost. That's not how I'm going to treat this, even though I think it's a bad decision, but I'm certainly not gonna tell y'all how to feel.

I just hope the land and attractions are good. I think the E-ticket has a lot of potential. I know it's not going to be a clone of RSR but if it matches that attraction at all in terms of quality and immersion then I think this move will have been the right choice. Either way, Magic Kingdom will get more capacity and more stuff to do. Easy win in terms of that regardless of the quality. I wish they could've kept RoA and done this at the same time but I've accepted it at this point. Jaws getting replaced for Diagon Alley was arguably a bigger loss imo. I'm just ready to rip the band-aid off already for this project

I’m sorry, but no matter how good this ride is (And I have no confidence this ride will be worth all of this hullabaloo), there is no justification for its location. I don’t think this is an amazing concept from the get-go, but as mentioned before, you have the Tomorrowland speedway screaming to be replaced by something like this. If you want justification for replacing something to maximize capacity and cost, it’s that piece of crap.

Hey, it’s entirely possible this ride could be good. If we’re losing the River of America for this, it BETTER be. Disney has been on a roll making stupid decisions between this and closing Muppets.

The quality continues to go down as the prices go up.

With all of the land that Disney owns in Florida, why does Disney have to destroy old stuff like this instead of growing the park and adding an expansion?

Big expensive with environmental regulations, land clearing, infrastructure, and other unforeseen issues (see TRON)

Yes all the land is not buildable.

Did people forget it’s Florida which has very sensitive wetlands and swamps that can’t be bulldozed just for the sake of it.

With all of the land that Disney owns in Florida, why does Disney have to destroy old stuff like this instead of growing the park and adding an expansion?

Villains Land is an expansion.

Not sure this applies to RoA over other examples, but there’s an argument that replacing poorly rated rides with highly rated new rides actually helps macro-level satisfaction, intent to return, etc. more than just building highly rated new rides.

And by “argument” I mean there’s a bunch of data that backs that up.

At least Frontierland has that roots-y Americana vibe of the first Cars film. I'm not exactly stoked for it, but I definitely think it fits better where it's going than 2025 Tomorrowland. This ride is about the use of transportation to explore the American wilderness; I think that's a fine thematic justification.

I really hope they have a Cars at DHS plan they can bring to life instead at Animation Courtyard, while keeping Villains at MK. Pretty evident through the fan base that this isn't a clear improvement to the area.

Country Bears at MK is now more attended than before. If they can go through MK and improve/plus existing attractions, MK wouldn't need the capacity of Cars Land. The park can certainly take on capacity improvement projects like permanently adding a Main Street Bypass and what not, but MK has a good amount of capacity.
