I was thinking about Celestial Park and the rumored open to the public after 6pm thing.

I think, by design, it almost has to be open to the public at night. It has a ridiculous amount of dining firepower for a single theme park. The 2 existing parks only have 4 table service restaurants combined.

Celestial Park will have Asian, Gastropub, BBQ, Pizza, Italian, Mexican, and a Prime Steak and Seafood place.

That's a lot of tables to fill.

Only Blue Drapn and Atlantic are full service.

Wait, it just dawned on me. . . where is the exit for the park? Has it been stated and I overlooked it?

I can't recall if this has been discussed (if it has, I missed it), but is it expected that there will be direct access to the Blue Dragon from inside the hotel? Or will hotel guests have to enter Epic Universe in order to get to the restaurant? I would think the latter, given that it's been promoted as a restaurant for the park (and not a hotel restaurant that park guests will have access to), but since it's directly attached to the hotel, I wondered what others have to say about it.

I'm expecting (if the food is good) that this will be the hardest table to get in the park in either scenario.

In all of the aerials, it doesn't looked to be attached to the hotel at all. It is a noticeable gap. See the second pic. . .

It looks attached -- at least on some lower level -- based on this view:

I think only kitchen staff has connection or backdoor to backstage for hotel backstage area anyway. No guest throughput.

To update myself (asked this back in February):

Does anyone know what the hill next to the carousel is meant for? Is something supposed to go there or it's just designed that way?

I thought it strange and thought it a placeholder of some kind at the time. The model has three trees.

model-trees.png

The actual park is a little different.

not-trees.jpg

Those are definitely not trees or a mound of dirt. Curious to see what this becomes over the next few months.

There's similar footers(?) on the other side of the carousel's pond.

Unless it's an oddly-shaped berm or more fountains I have no idea what it could be.

Maybe it's got to do with anticipated crowd management in terms of fountain viewing? I'm a bit unclear as to if you can see the central fountain from the carousel...

I have to say kudos to Universal for all of the water features in this park. There's just something calming and soothing about cascading water that is sorely needed in a busy theme park environment. It doesn't look like they plan to introduce fish into the bigger pools. Looks like the whole system is going to be a intricate chlorinated pool network. Plus I don't know if I would trust park visitors not to ruin a fish pond.

Bio's in depth look at the model is amazing. Great details he has posted:

I assumed the panels were all the same, but if you look they show the phases of the moon--

The detail of the entrance to the Atlantic is insanely beautiful--

Wonder if the Atlantic is going to be the equivalent to Rainforest Cafe but ocean themed instead of jungle.

It is rumored to be a Prime Steak and Seafood place. So I expect to higher quality and significantly more expensive than Rainforest Cafe.

Well I wasn't necessarily talking about the price or quality of the food. Just the theming. I could have been clearer

It's going to be mechanical and gold/bronze.

Ah, I like the wood, fish and pearls. Not sure I would like eating in a fish bowl in front of park guests taking pictures though.

Bigfire/Space 220 style pricing I'm assuming.

It would make since to mimic Lombard's Seafood Grille prices and options.
