Mummy 1999 set the standard for balance of action, adventure, horror ....unfortunately, Universal has failed to recapture that balance on the big screen. Thankfully Monsters Unchained fills that void....

The question of whether Monsters Unchained is horror, I don't feel has a perfect answer that will satisfy everyone. Some may call it action, others horror. These genres are not set in stone by a deity; they're ill defined constructs, often changing person to person, culture to culture.

I'd call it action--adventure-horror in the same vein as other Universal pictures including The Mummy or Jurassic Park. But I'm sure not everyone will be happy me saying that.

If it has monsters as the thematic focal point of the narrative, to me, it's horror.
Doesn't matter how light or dark, how funny or serious, how romantic or dramatic: it's horror.
Lots of horror has action. Lots of horror doesn't have action. It doesn't make either of them MORE or LESS horror.
The debate isn't about genre, it's about whether or not the ride is scary; To which, that is always going to be subjective, MMV.

I think it's still going to be gone very quickly, and unless they do continuous new pressings of it, the only recourse will be ebay.

I'm going to head over there right a opening since it is a must do for me and I really want to do it at opening so that I can potentially do 2 runs or even more later on in the day/night.

There's nothing worse than people who are not even a fan of an album or any other thing meant for fans grabbing alot of copies of fan specific items just so that they can sell them off of online market places for a poop ton of money. I despise people like that honestly. It honestly makes me mad since why buy that items that other people could have just so you can sell it for a ridiculously price.

Word is today Unchained has gotten a lot of new effects and upgrades, and that within these next few days we should be seeing atmospheric and lighting touches finally made.

Honestly, since Universal has been amazing (lately) with releasing professionally shot POV videos of Epic content, including rides.

I'm hoping they release one for Monsters Unchained because it'd be nice to see/hear a POV without guest commentary/reactions. Besides, when you create something of this caliber, you better show it off in every way possible!
