While it’s a bummer to lose the trolley, I also don’t see how this is a surprise. We’ve spent years discussing an Avengers E-ticket on the south side of Mission Breakout that was pretty obviously going to require the demolition of the service building and there’s no space along the route to build another one.

So a new things to note

The Encanto show seems to be only on days when Disney ¡Viva Navidad! Street Party is now showing....kinda disappointing. I loveeddddd the street party just wish there was a way to see both in the same day

Correct me if I'm wrong but first time you can meet The Three Caballeros at the event?

They talked about Tia's rides and shops opening on the 11/15/2024. So Assume Hunger Bear will be opening before then.

But as much as I loveeeeee Halloween time, I will say Chritmas time at Disnneyland and epscially DCA offer some really amazing hoilday shows, like you can basicailly fill your day hitting shows and never be bored and most shows don't even have too many people lining up with the exception of WOC and Disney ¡Viva Navidad! Street Party

So excited to go back this year and have a great time

My guess is that maybe the event loses a meet n greet or two and the trick or treat path shortened a little bit.

If it does

We have no evidence of it leaving. The Art and scale of Avatar would be pretty hard to fit in Hollywood even with the bus drop off and other behind the scenes area

So for now, I don't think its going anywhere. My guess would be after Avatar land opens they might start considering taking the land away but for now it works for special events, Character Drawing and Monster Inc get solid lines daily, the kids show is now being used for a Halloween show as well. And rumors are the theater is ear marked for Avengers Campus in the future

Take this with a grain of salt:

I've hear some rumblings over on WDWMagic that Jim Shull is reporting that there is the slim chance Disney might preserve the Red Car Trolley. This would be done by building a new maintaience area behind Soarin and having the trolley run through BVS only.

that would be great

I hope they can keep it. There is some space in that area they could use if rethemed so...I could see it happening if they really wanted to

There’s not a lot of space there, and they would have to demo and rework some existing things to make that happen. From what I understand, he proposed a way to save it, but isn’t “reporting” that Disney is doing anything about it or that they have active plans to move the facilities to keep it up and running.

It’s like I said before on this thread: can they save it and move the maintenance barn? Absolutely, 100%. Will they invest the required new capital to make this happen? I doubt it.

I'd think if they really wanted to keep it, they could design the new ride so that it's ride maintenance area was large enough to fit the trolleys as well as being oriented so the trolleys could get into it.

At the very least, there's a higher likelihood of the trolley coming back than something like the Rivers of America or Muppets. All they need to do is plant down some rails and build a barn.

In the park right now. All I can say is RIP Disneyland, 1955-2021, suddenly and violently killed by the implementation of Genie and all it’s side effects /:

I go like all the time....I don't think the park is dead

Before noon you can easily get on attractions most days, if you plan it right. I only get Genie Plus if I'm staying all days.

Wish we had more full shows but for sure Disneyland is not dead. It is somewhat busy now because of Halloween and the weather being better after a week of heat but the highest wait time as of now is 55 mins.....I remember before covid Space and Indy easily getting 90 mins lines most days.
Theming has not changed much in the 3 years since the park has died but Toontown is better then 3 years ago and the Adventureland tree house made the area have more room and is better themed then what we had before.
I' also be surprised if the new area of New Orleans and the new HM Q will be as great if not greater then what we had before.

If Disneyland is dead, many other theme parks oughta make an appointment with Dr. Kevorkian.

Genie is RIP, it's LL Multi Pass now.... for some bizarre unexplained reason.

Also: Haunted Mansion shop is progressing:
