Just to add to this, apparently Carsland hasn't yet gotten the green light, but Monsters and Hat removal is almost guaranteed in any plan.

Is it bad that I'm happier about the long overdue removal of the freaking hat than I am about a new attraction?

If I could jump to 2020, the Orlando parks would be a great place to be.

If they can remove that wand off the giant golf ball, then they can remove that hat.

I've heard Monsters in 2014. I've heard nothing about Hat removal or other such things, yet.

Good stuff here. Thanks. I mostly lurk in the SS44 and HHN threads.

Has anyone put together one of those famous OU aerial shots with attraction outlines? Pure speculation of course but it would be a fun visual.

The removal of the hat would be a huge step in the right direction. It would be on the level of removing the bad puns from DCA.

Is it weird that I fell out of my chair after reading "Hat Removal"?

It would have been weird if you didn't. I'm pretty sure there was a small tremor in the Orlando area from mass "Chair-falling-out-ofs".

How would everyone feel about a Radiator Springs Racers sans rock work (painted flats instead) and with a contrived storyline that we're filming a movie set in Radiator Springs?

Hmmm I think I know where you are headed with this and not sure how I feel about it. That rock work is rather impressive

I'd feel like it's a TDO Special.

Card board cut outs. TDO specialty. Just when we think things are about to pick up and get better. Why oh why do we even get our hopes up?

Don't take this as a "that's what's happening" kind of thing. Nothing is certain.

The storyline wouldn't really bother me at all. They could probably even through in a few neat interactive effects at the end with it.

But no rockwork makes the whole thing not worth it. Even if you're supposed to be filming a movie in Radiator Springs, it should still seem like you're in Radiator Springs and not riding Superstar Limo.

In my opinion, any sort of "ride" that's added to this park will be an improvement. Granted, it would be great if it's an awesome E-ticket, but at this point any expansion would be welcomed.
