I guess some people like to be stalked, analyzed, and don't care much for their own or their family's privacy...

I mean, I'm not saying it doesn't already happen in this day and age, being watched and analyzed when one's out in public, but this is taking it a bit far, and more personal. But what's most bothersome is the chance that if you refuse to have this, you might be at a disadvantage or lose some privileges that you might've had if this were not implemented.

I read that you can easily go and get them shut off if you do lose it to prevent that from happening. I have also heard conflicting reports about having to use a pin for any purchase or for $50 or more purchases.

The policy now is you have to use a pin on every purchase, not just $50 or more.

Im seriously hoping this thing implodes in itself, I really am hoping that happens and the only reason I will use it is because I don't have much of a choice. Also everyone talks about it being easier to pay and not having to carry around money or passes but we will still need to have our ID, license or passports (for all you secret agents out there) on us so we will still need to carry around that. Ill still end up carrying my wallet and paying cash like I always do and not because im fighting the system but because I am trying to prevent exactly what Disney wants me to do and spend money and not think about it. Its easier for me to budget and keep track and not over spend our money when we have cash on us, having credit cards makes it easier to forget and keep track and that is exactly what they want us to do.

Agreed with the above feeling I hope it implodes not so we can say "we told you so" but to get fairness and correctness back in the parks

As far as fairness goes I feel we are way beyond that at most theme parks with all of them having their own addition fast pass, express pass or quick que type add on and im fine with that and can work around that. Most things in life these days have their own first class type deal whether its shipping a package USPS or buying a plane ticket so we all have been accustomed to that in some way, shape or form as fair or unfair as it is.

True, however, to me this seems as a new level of unfair because only those one-timers can get into it as of now and will still exclude more locals that want to just go for a day or whatnot. It not only creates the who haves money unfairness, but also the not even making it possible for everyone to have the same rights to plan out their day. Unless I am missing something in a coming development, which I may have, in which case sorry...

Point being everyone at universal can buy express (until it sells out), everyone can use 1st class mail, everyone can spend 300 extra for a plane ticket . Not everyone can reserve their rides or dining before visiting the park

True, didn't think about that one. My wife and I stop for an impromptu visit with the kids in October on our way home from visiting her folks in Ocala and had this system been in place we would have been totally screwed. Willbe really hard for the local to just pop in after work for a quick visit. Only thing I heard that may in that situation is that rumor about AP holders getting some FP+s each quarter. Will see how that pans out since I dont think I have see any thing official about that yet.

Nor have I, the details of what exactly APs get is very quiet, I'm not sure that they even know how they are gonna do it.

But even then, unless you plan your day trips 180 days out, all the resort package folks will have already sucked up the FP+ for rides like Soarin' and TSMM. So you will still be using them for Stitch and The Flying Carpets.

I think the real reason Walt passed away, is that in the future when time travel is perfected somebody went back to 1966 and told Walt his company spends $1.5 billion to track the movements and purchases of his park guests.

When your run-of-the-mill, staunchly liberal teenager who will gladly contribute data in most cases (hint: me) finds insurmountable faults in your data-collecting plan, you know there's a problem.

What is this Data Mine Ride you guys are talking about? Is it a coaster? Probably TRON themed, right?

Not sure if this has been talked about but according to a current cast member their are numerous issues with the wristbands and check out stations resort wide where available. Thus forcing those with bands huge delays in using it or even having to use other forms of tender at checkout. As others have mentioned cast members are very unhappy so far with it.

Typical technology implementation. Can be fixed and resolved, or they can butcher it all and screw it all up. For $1.5 bn I doubt they're just going to let it die.

Quick question. For the turn style free entrances, how are they making sure people actually have their tickets, sure they put it up to the mickey face, but what is stopping someone just walking right on in, as going on pictures it looks way too easy for people to sneak in.

There are CMs at every Mickey Post. If Mickey doesn't light up, no entry. My question is, do the Mickey Posts have the biometric scan?
