It would not surprise me. I just went on there to try to have a look around, and it estimated I wouldn't even get in for 75+ minutes (so I quickly got out of that queue because I don't want to add to somebody else's wait).

As I've said, I'm sure Universal has reasons it's proceeding to roll things out in this way.

It's certainly not how I'd do it, though.

While it kind of stinks people without an AP aren’t given a shot at opening day without a package it is kind of a cool perk for us that have passes. I probably won’t go for the previews since I already have 2 days so I’m just counting down until opening.

I don't mind the random drop, as it helps the system from overloading. However, I wish they had been more candid about what was being released. We knew single days were coming, but no one knew there wouldn't be any May dates. I don't know the number, but I'm sure there are a good number of non-AP folks who woke up this morning a little upset about their opening weekend plans.

Yeah there's definitely multiple glitches now - our tickets are no longer showing on the app!

Yeah, I do think it’s a little questionable for Universal to repeatedly say “Don't worry, additional ticket options will be available before the park opens”... but for those tickets to not necessarily be for when the park opens.

Statement is technically accurate. Intent (based on the context of many who were asking the question) results in it being very misleading.

Official accounts have confirmed single day tickets available from June 1st through end of the year. I was in the waiting room at 5:30 and when it went live at 6am I only had a 3 min wait in queue. And tickets started at June 1 for me too. Definitely was intentional.

This is exactly what I meant the other day when I said I’m becoming distrustful of their official answers since they changed hotel early entry from opening day to the 23rd. If they’re fine changing that, who knows what else they’ll go back on.

my thought is they don’t want the park to be overcrowded on day 1 that’s my guess

I'm wondering if them not selling single day tickets for May has nothing to do with controlling capacity. It might be that they are thinking "people are going to pay for a multi-day ticket now that single day tickets are not an option."

Like I said in a previous post, lack of clarity has been a major issue.

Yes true. They have an answer for that too. I believe they’re honoring the floating multi day tickets available window so no one is turned away. It could mean less crowds some days, but I’m sure most/all folks who bought a multi day ticket that included May 22nd will use that as their epic day.

They probably changed early entry to the next day because check in at Helios isn’t until that afternoon so no one was going to be able to use the dedicated park entrance anyway (and EVERYONE was asking about it.).

Was finally able to purchase 2x 2x 1 day (2 people, 2 days) from UnderCover Tourist.
There might be a cheaper way to do it in the future, but the FOMO is real when you have international flights and Helios club level already booked!
Other resellers weren't letting anyone purchase them from the UK. Got the tickets and added to the Uni app, so all good.

Yeah, I got on at roughly 6:25 and waited maybe 4 or 5 minutes. Started right at June 1.

I hope this doesn't mean they're going to randomly drop AP preview tickets at 6am soon... It would be nice to get a heads up lol

For many otherthings I understand where you're coming from but for that I believe it could have been a genuine mistake.

What I mean is, Day 1 will have all sorts of pomp and circumstance when the park opens at normal time. Early entry sort of breaks that because technically there would be guests in the park before it officially opens for everyone else.

I think there is some logic to it in that regard.

Got 1 day tickets for October visit $184 … which is crazy , but oh well.

I’m going to wait to see what express costs …before deciding on another day ticket.

Bought two days worth of one-day tickets for late September. Paid more than I wanted to, but such is life. Decided to spend the rest of our vacation at Disney World rather than wait around for a Universal package that may not materialize.

To plays devils advocate I think Uni is simply trying to have their cake and eat it too.

Maybe they feel single day tickets holders shouldn’t take precedent over AP’s or multi pass buyers the first couple days.

Yea it sucks for those that wanted to go for opening weekend but capacity is a real concern.
