Yes because DCA has just had a major overhaul fixing up all the issues which caused the low quality opinions of the resort. I don't know how you saw DL as a fair, since it is just a much better themed magic kingdom that caters to all ages. Opinions are opinions. But if you think DL is a fair WDW must be a giant fair.

i my opinions posted were about the DL park itself, i haven't been to DCA (which honestly looks more interesting than DL, even before i went to the resort)

when we went it was during a trip around California, Nevada and visiting the Grand Canyon so we just did a trip to DL park since none of us had ever been to it before. there was no time for DCA. if i ever do go back i wouldn't hesitate to doing that park though. i wasn't impressed by the DL park was what i said in my other post.

Actually, yes. In 2008, you felt that Disneyland was a permanent fair? If you had said 1979, I would have not agreed, but seen your point. 2008? Not so much. Have you actually been to a fair? State Fair? Renaissance Fair? World's Fair? Mall Parking lot carnival? What exactly are you comparing it too. Not many fairs I have been to have 15 min Pirate rides with 85 full blown Audio Animatronics.

By 2008 The Disneyland Resort was a full blown destination resort. I really have to disagree with your assessment. By 2008 Disneyland Resort was providing a far superior Disney Parks experience than WDW. But The MKs Castle is bigger!

i can feel the judging in this post omg.

and i'm sorry my expectations for park standards are lower than yours, but to be blunt just because you say so and you provide evidence i already know of doesn't make your point any more valid. and i've been to a Fair before, of course i have why would i be comparing Disneyland to it if i didn't at some point in my life. what i meant by the comparison was that it just felt dirtier to me and it had an atmosphere that just screamed FAIR. and i'm not going to skip around it, the castle was downright puny and made the park look and feel smaller just by the look of it. i didn't understand how much a mascot amounted to a park's feel until that moment. idk, i had a fun time but the park overall just felt like crass. and i mentioned posts ago that i admired the Pirates ride, it's one of the things in the park i enjoyed and thought had much more quality than its counterpart.

I am judgmental SOB. You got me there. Snide and Snarky too boot. But seriously I am glad that you have enjoyed your time at WDW. Regardless of us disgruntled divorcees, I will only say that my only Disney Parks experience from '71 until May, 2001 was WDW. Then I visited Disneyland Resort for the first time. I was pissed off beyond belief that TWDC would try and pass off the piece of **** DCA as a suitable addition to the Walt Disney legacy. Yet I was blown away by Disneyland proper. New Orleans Square alone embarrasses the MK..

My wife and I greatly prefer Space Mountain in Florida than the version in Cal. Florida has some pretty awesome drops filled with airtime, while Cal's version is a roller coaster without a single drop. Give me Florida's version any day.

That doesn't scare me at all. If anything it's the roughness.

I greatly prefer Disneyland's Space Mountain because of the on board music. But I did like the original Dick Dale music more than the music they are using now.

Rode Space Mountain at MK yesterday and it just seems to get crazier every time I ride. Wasn't as painful this time either

that is another reason why i love DL's version. the music was so dynamic it made the whole experience just feel awesome.

Thanks for the pics HTF, I have a feeling this is bigger then I think. A bit like the transformers building I know ir's big but when I see it for real I'm gonna be like, wow. Would you say the same be true here? Do the photos give a true perspective?

The onboard music alone doesn't do it for me. That was actually something I wasn't even thinking about when I went on it for the first time. It's all about the track layout for me and imo, MK's has a much better layout, as opposed to DL's, which is pretty much all turns. Plus, while onboard audio is better than the off-board audio used in MK's, that isn't something that will change my opinion alone. MK's just desperately needs completely new track.

I'd say they do. Transformers looks bigger in real life, New Fantasyland looks just like these pics. Maybe it's the boxy nature of the Transformers building versus the rock work you see here.

This was taller than I expected when I saw it in person. All the insiders here keep saying to lower expectations but it *looks* like a big ride.

Lol HTF's pictures confused me until I remembered this was the Fantasy Land expansion thread. And to the argument that DW is 4 parks and DL is two, DL seems like every DW park except AK in 2, but DL has a better version of Dinosaur, so all it's really missing is Everest and KRR (which isn't anything to really be missed). DL is still a dream for me lol.
